I have been visiting the Beer Bistro for years and it is consistently good. The menu is simple and good, but the highlight is the beer menu - simply one of the best in Toronto...

My boyfriend and I just happened to stumble on this place and are we ever glad we went in! A special night for the two of us was made fantastic by Sean and Natalie! We were welcomed by the manager and told him it was our first time there, he gave us a complimentary appetizer and I also ordered the... More

We started here on our two day "beer vacation" to Toronto. The beer selection was pretty solid and the food was great. I had an epic burger and my wife had a great smoked fig pizza. The bartender was great with the beer suggestions, and he also recommended several beer places I should visit while in town. A great atmosphere... More

Went to Beer Bistro with some coworkers while visiting from out of town and was very satisfied with our experience. Our server was very knowledgeable of the expansive beer selection and kindly made recommendations. I highly recommend the muscles. Cheers!

We chose this as it had a good selection of craft beers and did food. We sat outside to eat. The food was ok, not outstanding. The beers and service were great!

Very nice selection of beer and ciders I got the beef tacos which were very unimpressive. The belgian fries were good. My date got the salmon which she liked.

great downtown place for enormous selection of beers, creative appetizers and very unique style. We were happy with choosing this place from internet research only. The Beer bistro is as exciting as it sounds

We had dinner at Beer Bistro as it was just across the street from the Kind Edward Hotel and we were looking for a nice, but not fancy meal. Our group included two who like good beers and two who do not drink beer at all. All enjoyed our meal and the food drew particular praise from one of our... More

I had two dinners at Beer Bistro and found both experiences to be superb. The first was a late night menu meal, and I had a salad with a large piece of perfectly grilled, almost raw on the inside salmon. The second meal was from the regular menu and consisted of a large plate of smoked trout, olive tapinade, boiled... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
