Interesting Fusion in Toronto

Took a client here twice now, and had an enjoyable time. The cocktails were great, and I highly recommend the slaw, it's the signature dish, made fresh at the table. Not an everyday splurge, but a great place to take someone special or for a fun business dinner.

This was my 2nd visit to Lee and I have to say, they out did my previous experience. Is there a rating above Excellent? We were 4 people, as this was their first visit, they were curious as we were in a "sharing restaurant" we decided to try quite a few dishes (yes I overindulged). The plates kept coming and... More

I've eaten here a few times. It's in the very popular King Street West area of Toronto. Reservations are highly recommended. They have some really inventive cocktails. The concept is small sharing plates. Great place for a date! Must tries: The Singapore Slaw salad. It's a MUST order. Cheese Burger Spring Rolls - I know, it sounds weird, but they... More

Amazing as expected!! I was so excited for the BF to try out one of my fave restaurants (not sure how we haven't made out together over the years as I frequent at least twice a year)!! The winterlicious menu was a perfect taste menu for first timers provided the famous slaw is served as an appy. Everything was super... More

This was my first visit here and will not be my last. The starter of wild cod and leek tart with the red coconut curry sauce was phenomenal. I could have drunk the sauce like soup. Just the perfect amount of spice. The salmon main melted in your mouth. The trio of desserts was terrific since I didn't have to... More

My husband and I went for dinner on the recommendation of a colleague and had an incredible experience! We had a 5:30 reservation which was perfect because the restaurant was still quiet as it had just opened so conversation was easy, and it was a pre theatre dinner so lots of time to enjoy before getting to the play. The... More

I have always said that Toronto is second to none when it comes to fine dining against other urban centers around the world, and Susur Lee is Toronto's pride and joy. He has several restaurants but I am commenting about the Lee Restaurant. Incredible blend of flavors that could include Hoisin sauce, coriander, miso, horseradish and more. You could ask... More

We have gone to Lee on a number of occasions The food is always great and the servers are always knowledgeable, friendly and efficient (you usually get multiple waiters throughout the meal). The restaurant itself needs some work...it is cold and drafty and the bathrooms are way below the standard of the restaurant. I gauge the quality of the restaurant... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
