Good cheap lunch.

After my annual trip to caversham books, I walked up Harbord street to this humble hole in the wall. Just a few tables and a window counter. Very yummy green chicken curry and a soda for ten dollars. Friendly staff. I will return on my next trip!

I give this neighbourhood resto 5 stars because it's terrific value for your money. The owners and staff put a lot of love into what they serve and pack up for takeout. Is it the best Thai food in Toronto? No, but that's not what you pay for either. My favourites are the Thai Basil Noodle and the Spicy Eggplant.... More

We got delivery from here the other night and it will be the one and only time! We love our Thai food and the more authentic the better. We ordered a few different dishes and they all tasted the same and tasted as though their was WAY too much lime leaf, lemongrass and fish sauce. Everything was sour and the... More

Food is very good here. Like the choices and the specials. What I don't like is everytime I order something is forgotten as I normally order for a few days of food.

The green mango salad that I had tonight was crisp and fresh - the best I've had in a long time. We also ordered a lemongrass and chicken soup which was spicy and delicious. And, the service was great - we went in to get take-out and weren't there long, but even so the vibe was friendly and neighborly.

This is one of our favourite eateries when we are in Toronto. It's small and very basic (just a few formica tables, caff-type atmospher), but it's soooooo friendly and the food is great and really good value. A huge selection of Thai dishes, very good helpings and very delicious, they are all cooked to order. Sometimes we take out, sometimes... More

My favourite pad thai. Get take out or eat at one of the three tables or the counter.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
