Went to Ruby Watcho for a friend's birthday. I thought he concept of having a different menu everyday was good amd interesting. I was wrong. The meal started off with a salad with an olive vinaigrette. Unfortunatelu, the brine just overpowered the whole dish as I could taste nothing but the salt from the olives. I doubt that anyone tasted... More

Ruby watch co is one of the most impressive restaurants in Toronto. Pricy, but the service and quality are well thought out. It's presented as a series of courses that are extremely well executed. Their accommodating to vegan and shellfish issues. And very knowledgable on wine pairings. Little if anything of the experience could have been improved on. Everything was... More

My respect for Lynn not withstanding this experience was very underwhelming. The concept is still great but perhaps they've run out of ideas. When I made the reservation I advised of food allergies and eating styles and was assured that they can accommodate us. It's tricky enough when you are vegan to eat out but just add gluten intolerance and... More

I love Lynn Crawford's creation here It is like home cooking meets fine dining I thought the food and service were great -- and the price unbeatable. It is awesome that everything is seasonal and chosen by the chef!

Once again our service here was excellent as was our meal. I love this restaurant & the only negative I would say is that the tables are too close together making it hard to hear your own table when the table next to u is also speaking. The cocktails here are also very good but a little pricey.

We were really looking forward to dinner, chosen for a special occasion. Salad was okay, but the croutons could break your teeth. The main course of halibut, golden beet/sweet potato puree, baked onions all tasted like they came from the same pot - the fish was over done. The "burnt broccoli" was well and truly inedible. The cheese course saved... More

I dined at Ruby Watchco recently during a business trip. Chef Lynn wasn't on the scene that night, but it was a wonderful meal nonetheless. We ate upstairs in the private room, so I still don't have the full 'feel' for the restaurant, but my experience was still a positive one. We had lots of food left over because we... More

You don't choose your food, but you love what you eat, whatever it is. Never too much, but not too simple. Loved that place.

The food in this restaurant has been consistently amazing. There is only one option on the menu A three course meal with a couple of optional add ons. Every fish is fresh and delicious.

Staying in East End

Neighborhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
