Dinner was delicious

My husband and I had dinner here before a baseball game. The escargot was delicious as an appetizer. I had the duck- it was very good; my husband enjoyed the veal medallions. The food was prepared very heathy- nothing with heavy cream or fried. My only criticism is the sangria- I could barely... read more

My wife and I needed a light dinner prior to a social engagement while visiting Toronto and we had noticed the Le St. Tropez across the street from our hotel. We ducked in and grabbed a seat on the sidewalk, how Parisian, right? We had decided on a light dinner, which usually means something from the appetizer menu, we choose... More

Yes the food was great, the three green beans that came with the meat were just delightful. The wine was great and the desserts even better. Dinner for four was $200. That's not horrible for French food but I'm an average sort of girl. For a special occasion, yes, do it!

This place always seemed a bit pricy but everywhere is getting that way, so we made our first visit in all these years of pre-theatre dinners. The place was quite empty except for the front patio. We weren't offered the Terrace which might have been nice. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered a Salad Niçoise - it wasn't... More

I had dinner here a few days ago with a group of 5. First let me say that our server was fabulous. The food overall was terrible. As it was a hot evening I ordered the salade nicoise and the tuna was well past it's best before date! It was horrendous and unfortunately the rest of the salad was inedible... More

Run, don't walk to this restaurant, quint, cozy, charming and wonderful food for reasonable prices. We had no wine, but the wine menu looked good. The service and food can not be beat.

My husband and I have been coming here for a number of years , for birthdays and anniversaries. Always a favorite until tonight. Food was only ok. We were disappointed . There is a lovely terrace at the back of the restaurant, perfect for a summer evening. Few customers seem to know about it, but it is so much nicer than the front patio on King Street. Wonderful food with interesting items on the main menu and the prix fix menu. Great service as well. Live entertainment in the restaurant can... More

We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and food at this restaurant. French bistro menu staples...lamb with rosemary and steak frites very good, well prepared and presented. Arctic char on the dry side for my taste, but exactly what my friend likes. The price was reasonable and we will go back.

Good food and vine, relaxing atmosphere, very good service. Nice place to spend some quality time with your friends. If you have any luck with the weather, you'll get to enjoy the patio, which will greatly enhance your experience.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
