Description: Baldini: a true Italian cuisine. A simple sub shop was bought and turned into a popular fine-dining restaurant, and since 2006 it has been an appealing addition to the Trendy Leslieville Gem. Baldini presents guests with a pan-regional selection of dishes from Northern and Southern Italy, along with home-made pastas, breads and sauces.Executive Chef Sal, the sole owner, with over 20 years of experience, ensures that ingredients are fresh from local markets and are prepared only in the finest Italian tradition to ensure the best possible flavour. Followed by homemade gnocchi and other savoury pastas, risotto, whole-wheat thin crust pizza, along with meat and seafood dishes; Baldini has a wide range of full-flavours of the herbs and spices, that creates the full-Italian experience.Gentle jazz sets the mood, as our diners unwind casually on the classic brick wall and the cozy dining atmosphere, enjoying their meals at the heart of the Leslieville Gem. Experience a rich selection of the best Italian wines, complemented by the soothing ambience along with our friendly staff, which makes your visit at Baldini, a memorable one!

I booked a table at this little Italian diner for our 19th anniversary. I only read the first review which was favourable. The day of the reservation I read other reviews that were less than favourable and considered re-considering the reservation. The atmosphere was warm and cozy and there was a young family celebrating a birthday of one of their... More

my first experience of eating Italian in Toronto was at Baldini's. Nice location on Queen Street, cozy interior, very attentive service, excellent food and very reasonable prices (compared to NYC!) Varied menu and nice wine list.

My partner and I enjoyed a lovely meal with great service. We purchased a Groupon (which wasn't as good of a deal as advertised based on our menu selections), but we both loved our meals (we highly recommend the Al forno fromaggio di capri and the penne with spicy sausage and chicken). We will be returning! We're looking forward to... More

My wife and I had a Groupon which we always use with some trepidation but this time we hit a winner. For appetizers my wife had the grilled calamari and I had the baked cheese, both excellent. Entrees were veal marsala and veal piccata, again both excellent. The sides, potatoes and vegetables were also nicely done. Service was pleasant and... More

My husband and I used a Groupon’s voucher for dinner at Baldini’s recently. Thinking they were in the neighborhood and had a big menu to choose from. We ordered Antipasto Misto all'Italiano for two – a big portion and good variety, the grilled calamari was nicely marinated and very tasty; Vitello di marsala (pan seared veal scaloppini with wild mushroom... My wife and I checked various reviews of newer restaurants in the up and coming Riverside area on Trip Advisor as we like to try new places. Many of the restaurants in this changing area are very highly rated on this site. We decided to try Baldini's as the menu on display offered great choices that were priced more reasonably... More

This restaurant has an interesting and diverse menu. The service is excellent and they never rush you! Definately a comfortable and welcoming feel to a restaurant that offers a well priced diverse menu.

We had dinner here some months ago and enjoyed ourselves. The missus was particularly impressed. The price point was just right and the service was friendly in a genuine kind of way. Folks here are trying hard to please and do so without attitude. They act professionally, and are aware of the competition in this emerging neighbourhood. We will return... More

I Went there with my boy-friend for Lunch the service it was good but the food not italian at all. I Didn't like the soup which it was in the special and the principal course. We got a grilled salmon and it was burned... I wasn't happy at all.

Monday night: Tired of Danforth fare? Fed up with the ever longer Toronto winter weather? Where do you go? We found it! Baldini's... Our party of 7 was warmly welcomed and the service throughout the evening was great. Attentive without being overbearing. (Well done Rich.) The menu, supplemented by a daily specials board, is quite extensive without falling into the... More
