Ambiance, food, and a great time

My first and it won't be my last time at Mambo Lounge. I love the cozy feel and the ambiance of ML. The patio in the back is very welcoming. Delicious cuisine, and killer mojitos which will sneak up on you.

My wife and I went to Mambo for dinner last week. She had the NY steak. It came with home made fries and other stuff. She loved it all. The steak was done perfectly. I had four of the appetizers (get four for $21.00). That was a complete meal in itself. The shrimps in garlic and olive oil were excellent.... More

We went on a Saturday evening, arrived at 6. Restaurant has a warm and welcoming feel and an authentic menu. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. A guitarist started playing at 8pm and the restaurant was largely full. Nice ambience. Our service was good. We had a nice evening and enjoyed ourselves such that we were in no hurry... More

My partner and I made reservations with Mambo Lounge during the Winter Prix, however, when we arrived for our reservation we were forced to wait over 2 hours for a table. The owner was rude and clearly ill-prepared for the influx of people but thankfully, the waitstaff made up for his behaviour. We only waited because as Cuban descendants, we... More

I tried this restaurant for the first time and was impressed with the food and service. The menu has lots to choose from - you can make an entire meal out of about 3-5 selections from the tapas portion of the menu, or you can try 1 or 2 tapas and then also choose one main course. If you're with... More

We visited the Mambo Lounge for the first time on a Friday night in November with two dear friends. We did not know what to expect but soon found out what lay in store for us. We did not have appetizers but had the entire special course meal in which everything was included except of course the wonderful freshly mixed... More

My friends and I went to Mambo Lodge Cuban Restaurant last Friday for a dinner. The food was just amazing: the appetizer was great, the steak was juicy and the desert, the Cuban flan, was outstanding. I have traveled to Cuba many times and the taste of the food at Mambo Lodge reminded me of real Cuban cuisine. The servers... More

Sadly disappointed! The black bean soup was bland. We both ordered the NY strip sirloin steak and while the steaks were huge they were both grisly. Best part of the meal were the deserts.

Great food, and good atmosphere. We had salad with avocado and mango, great combination. And also the seabass with coconut rice was delicious. And yes, try the drinks. Recommended!

Staying in East End

Neighborhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
