We were heading to see Kinky Boots nearby the theatre. This was the choice of my niece. Great selection, great location. We had the sample appetizer plate which was very good and hot. We shared 3 entries (eggplant, chicken and lamb) along with a balsamic rice and nano bread. The server was very helpful for the novice diners. The food... More

We happened upon this restaurant as we were walking around the city. The staff were pleasant and the food was quite good. I do not think anyone would be disappointed with this restaurant as a choice.

We ate here one evening in Sept 2014, we nearly missed the entrance because its upstairs but glad we found it. we had a nice table by the window and started with a shared mixed platter, then we had curries, rice and naan bread, the flavours were good and we enjoyed the evening, service was slow but we were out... Had dinner before a second city comedy show. The flavors of our dishes were good. Service was a bit slow and could have been a bit more attentive. Wine prices were steep but the food prices were fine (given we are in a big city). I selected it based on TA reviews.

Nice fresh food, but very slow service and made a mistake with the order after waiting ages. Didn't take our plates away when finished for ages too. But nice if you want to spend the whole evening dining.

Located on the second floor, the atmosphere was nice, servers were knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. Food was fresh, delicious and the prices were reasonable. Good choice for Indian food in Toronto.

It looked a bit shady but it's actually very nice once you get to the actual restaurant. Food was good and service friendly enough.

Lamb Biryani was out of this world. Chicken Tandoori is very moist in the inside. Chicken Tikka Masala is the best the I have eaten. Eggplant Bhakta is balanced the eggplant is not masked by the ingredients. I suggest that for a group to share the food. Place is good for large group. Service is fast. Naan is made fresh... More

Good fresh food not overpowering with fat or greasy cream. Attentive and polite service, we had a lovely dinner with our 15 year old son, we all loved it

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
