Great Breakfast's - Less so on the burgers

After 6 ~ 8 visits for breakfast, all very satisfying, my wife and I went for lunch, on a recommendation of supposedly "fine hamburgers". So my wife ordered the hamburger and I had the "Hamburger Steak". Disappointment! The meat was dry, overcooked and without flavor. The accompanying mashed... read more

I can't understand the poor reviews of Steve's. We have eaten here often for breakfast and find that it is consistently good. It is simple, homemade food well prepared. Service is usually good, although maybe not the friendliest. The kids (14, 13, 11) ask to go there on a regular basis. We love it!

Food is ok and the place is always busy on the weekends. However they do not staff their restaurant properly and the ancient waitresses who do work there take a long time and are obviously tired. Too bad because it's not their fault - I suggest that the owner step up and hire some more staff.

For a diner it's pretty good, especially if you are tired of the East Side Mario, Kelsy's, Montana, cr_p like we are. Go for their Eggs Benedict, it's really good or their Greek Salad, the dressing is excellent and you can buy some to take home. Our kids enjoy the hamburgers and fries.

Looking for breakfast staples like bacon and eggs or steak and eggs, or kids chicken fingers and fries, then this is your place. Friendly servers and quick easy going breakfast.

Our breakfast was cooked however bland and unfavourful which good prices don't make up for. Bigger mugs or more frequent coffee refills are needed. The restaurant itself could use some TLC in cleaning food splashes, all the windows and finishing unpainted ceiling edges and fixing water damage. I generally find the older family restaurants have that special grill flavour however... More

We asked for separate bills upon arrival. The burger was decent but fries were cold and stale. We nicely asked if we could get fresh fries and the server grabbed the plate and walked off without saying anything. At bill time we were told it was too complicated to do separate bills unless we were willing to wait to a... More

Having brunch with a friend, it's 11ish on a Monday, and then a little girls starts screaming and crying. Her mom jumps up, takes her shirt off then her pants, I've seen this reaction before so I know she has spilled something hot and a quick peak confirms an overturned tea cup. Then the mom starts applying some of the... More

We stopped at Steves for a quick dinner it was anything but quick. The food was good but the place is in need of an upgrade for sure. The service was so slow Took near 2 hrs for a quick meal? And most was waiting for the meal and it wasn't really busy.

Ok they have lots of choice at this diner...the steak and eggs are always very good. My son enjoys the chicken fingers and it's his regular order.
