The Lines Say It All

There's a reason why there are always line-ups at Square Boys - good food, good portions, at an awesome price. Very good value for your money. A Danforth tradition that also serves wine and beer-also at a great price.

This place will win no awards for beauty, that is for sure. Where it is a winner though, is decent greasy food at a great price. There always seems to be a line-up here and it moves kinda slow, but that is one of the few drawbacks. I hope they stick around for many more years to come. The joint... More

I had their cheeseburger today and it was amazing !!! It takes like when you bbq and make it at home. I would've given them a five star rating but since it is always busy when I go the wait is always a bit long - but when you eat their food it's worth the wait !!! A lil mom... More

Here's a place I've been eating at for close to 20 years and I'm sure so many others are regulars there too, now since I was there on aug 28th I figured I haven't written about it yet so I will. It's just one of those places that when you want something quick and tasty it can't be beat, I... More

One of the best gyros I have had outside of Greece. Portions are very generous. A great place for Greek take out. I have had the gyros and chicken souvlaki and both are great.

This place is frozen in time circa 1985. Old guys cooking with no real process as to who does what but the food is very good and the price is right. You can't find a $10 plate of pork kebabs, salad and rice on the Danforth anymore but these guys deliver. Only drawback is a complete lack of charm on... More

Great Souvlaki (and cheapest on the Danforth) and a fun Bunch to watch while Preparing your food From Louie who is always Yelling!! (in jest) to the Big Guy who everyone knows as the Souvalki Nazi (like the soup nazi from Seinfeld) who if you dont keep the line moving and tell him Right away what you want on your... More

This time I had the souvlaki in a pita for $4.50. Very filling, great taste, great value. Perfect for a fast lunch and a walk along The Danforth.

Staying in East End

Neighborhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
