Nice place for breakfast

Good basic breakfast foods. I got an omelet with mushrooms, bacon & cheese, served with wheat toast. My husband got the Eggs Benedict special. It was served with a small fruit salad, he loved it. Must be their most popular dish cause a lot of people were ordering it. Wait staff was very friendly... read more

As soon as we walked in the waiter greeted us and let us sit anywhere we pleased. She brought us out menus right away. The juice was very tasty and the omelette was perfection. This was the only place we could find a nice sit down breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised by it. The food is very good and... More

Was looking for a place to grab some breakfast after touring the CN Tower this morning. Came across Ultimate as I walked down King Street. Glad I could find a place with some breakfast still! Was seated outside and order was taken promptly. Food did not take too long and the omelette and bacon was delicious! Only a couple tables... More

A little place on West Street, good service, drinks were cold, food was good. Pasta cooked the way it should be, could have with or without meat/chicken. Open kitchen with only chef so service was a little slow, but everything was served hot. Good place to stop if you had not read about where to eat.

Ive been there for brunch and it was fantastic. I had waiter Abby and she was really nice and helpful. I ordered fettuccine with cream sauce and some add-ons. My meal was ready really quick and i truly enjoyed it. One of the best pastas i ever had.

We are regulars at The Ultimate Cafe before our Mirvish theatre night out. The restaurant is cosy and friendly with a modern touch of sophistication. The pasta dishes are delicious, good sized portions and reasonably priced. Salads are crisp and fresh an the desserts are tempting and tasty. They also have choices of draft on tap. Service is friendy and... More

I've been to Ultimate Cafe many times in the past 3 or 4 years. It has become a favourite before theatre for us. I can't understand why it is seldom busy ... I almost hesitate to write a good review in case we suddenly can't get in without waiting. But I see other good reviews here. The menu is mostly... More

We really enjoyed the food at this cafe on King Street right across from the Princess of Wales Theatre. The food is fresh and reasonably priced. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. We were able to sit at a table with a view of the street and look out for our sister in law who was meeting us.

we just visited this place on Sunday at around 6 pm. We decided to go in because the young guy at the door was very nice and friendly. There was only one table occupied when we walked in. That should have been the first warning sign. The second was the menu, it seemed a little all over the place with... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
