Great relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. Busy but everyone was spaced out enough that you could hear your conversation. Server was attentive and the food was delicious.
Great bar and open space when you first walk in. Bar is very comfortable. Had a drink and the bar then went to the dining area for dinner. Service was excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable and offered healthier suggestions. Steak was as always fantastic... Ask for it Chicago style...you will love it. Another relaxing even with great food, service and friends! My family of 5 visits The Keg at Bloor and The West Mall at least twice a month and we all love it. The service is friendly and fast which we appreciate when we have our 2 year old Godson with us who likes to eat and run!
When we entered the place we were told it would be a 30 min wait. That didn't exactly sit well with me (I have no patience when it comes to waiting for food!) but we decided to stay. Parking is problematic. Must cross the road to find a parking spot. The decaf coffee must have brewed all day when we got it. Way too strong.
We went as a group after the congress. They were very friendly and we were seated quickly. Service was excellent. The food was very good and the servings were good. I would go back when I go back to Toronto.
Recently visited the restaurant for a evening meal. The venue was quite, but I had to wait for 20mins for a table for 2. I explained that I needed a gluten free diet, and I was advised by a member of staff what would be suitable. Meal was first class.... Very enjoyable evening & staff very pleasant.
Everyone we met talked about The Keg so we went there. There was a bit of wait, so we went up to the bar and had couple of drinks. A waiter was going around with 'nibbles'... actually a whole steak sandwich (felt quite full already with this freebee) My husband ordered the baseball steak and I had the fillet. Beautiful... More
Very crowded venue. The food despite the decor was only average.I accept this is a chain of restaurants where no doubt the menu is identical, but for me the food did not live up to my expectations.
We went for Mother's day dinner and noted that the quality of the food has gone downhill compared to 8 years ago when we first started going here. I had one of the Mother's day specials for $43. It came with a Caesar salad which had a sour tasting dressing. On our last visit a few months ago we spoke... More
