I didn't try the whisky, but the food and vibe are both very good

This place is best known for whisky, but we had to go to a concert at the church across the road right after dinner, so thought it wise to skip the specialty of the house. I really enjoy old UK-style pubs, with velvet-lined chairs and old and dark wooden tables and floors. It may have been just... read more

We stumbled upon this little gem while visiting friends in the "Beaches" area of Toronto. The food was fantastic, the bartenders were delightful and humorous ... and the beer selection was fantastic. A typical Irish style pub, with football on the telli and the many fans and supporters in team uniforms enjoying the coverage from the UK. A delightful afternoon... More

We come here often with friends as its in their neighbourhood. The staff are lovely, friendly and caring but they have some very busy nights when they are unfortunately understaffed. The food is good classic pub food with standards like welsh rarebit, fish and chips, prime rib with Yorkshire pudding is a weekly special...and so much more! They have a... More

We stop here monthly, mostly due to the fact that we love the food, the prices are great, the atmosphere is not like anywhere else in the city, and the whisky menu is one of the best. We've had some occasions where the food or service has slipped on busy night, however overall we enjoy it all quite a bit.

My husband and I a lovely impromptu dinner at Feathers. The pub itself is uber authetic and the bar menu extensive. We both ordered the perch special and were pleased. The dinner was simple and hearty (steamed vegetables, which were NOT overdone, and plain white rice with flavourful fish), the service was friendly and the atmosphere lively. We would return.

We stopped in with friends for a drink before going downtown for dinner. When a band started playing, the music was great so we got up and danced and had a great time. It got a started on the right track for a fun evening!

We live in the area and frequently visit this pub. Friendly staff, great choice of beers and ales, even greater choice of scotch. Typical pub food, nothing to write home about, but you don't go there for a gourmet dinner. Live music. It's often full on Friday and Saturday nights, so plan accordingly.

Things I remember about the many visits we've made to the Feathers: a dart board, noisy air conditioning and pleasant staff - when you can get their attention, slow service. Frankly, there is nothing to commend the Feathers to set it apart from anywhere else that purports to be a British pub in Toronto. The Sunday roasts are always a... More

This is a longstanding neighbourhood pub in the Kingston Road area(between Main and Victoria Park). It is not in my neighbourhood, but easy to get to. I have been going at least 1-2 times a year for over 20 years. I was last there on Christmas eve (in later afternoon) for a late lunch/early supper. The bar part was very... More

Well, the owner changed since my last review. It is a mixed blessing. The menu and kitchen is better, the pace is busier, but some things are slipping. The whiskey menu isn't being replenished, so the selection for the mid-priced whiskey is slipping. But the prices are still good and there are some very rare treats still available. One big... More

Staying in East End

Neighborhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
