Great food but service can be hit or miss

I've been several times as I get cravings for their foldover chicken wrap on naan bread. It's a pub with a big patio that is open when its warm enough. I've never had a bad meal here, though I have been brought something different from what I ordered and when I questioned the server about it... read more

This place had good, decently priced pub food, and friendly bartenders. They offered us advice on what to see in the neighborhood.

Would like to get my lunch there every day... Service is enthusiastic with a touch of humour, the pleasant terrace is pretty large and nicely crowded ! Food is good and prices are more than reasonable 25/30 CAD all included.

Sat at bar and ordered Granville Island Ale, everybody very chatty and friendly. Had a look at the menu but decidedly bad news for the beer - mostly fried items . Had a look at the 'specials' board and spotted 'Steak and Ale Pie and Mash', spot on. The Ale of the pie was Guinness so it was a dark... More

We visited for lunch based on TA review. It is a pub and it looks like one. The booths have the antiquated red upholstery. The wood floor is old and scratched. I ordered the Tilapia fish from the specials menu. It tasted burned even though it was not overdone. My wife ordered the big egg breakfast from the brunch menu.... More

I recently ate here twice. It's a nice pub in a high pedestrian traffic area. I was with three others and both times we were able to get in and seated fairly quickly. Their menu is mostly pub food but they also offer other items that are not so typical (e.g. perogies). The food came out surprisingly fast. My only... More

It looked cute on the outside, so we thought we would try it out. Our food was good, and the portion size was good as well, and the place itself was cute on the inside. I would eat here again on my next trip.

I know we may not be driven to the patio to be sceen in the sun by the other looky-loos walking down the treat. I find the inside to be so much cooler and you're not sweating bullets om your cocktail. Service was hot cold so i need a third time for a tie breaker and never made it.

I stopped into the Firkin on a Friday evening for dinner. The place was quite busy, but the service was quite fast. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan which was one of the specials. It was quite delicious and arrived nice and hot. I plan to come back in the future!
