Still a good Lobster place, but ...

My wife and myself visited Lobster Trap on Valentine Day (2015). The lobster soup was excellent, the lobster main course was very good. We ordered vegetables on the side, but it was with ice inside. The restourant has a new owner, the things are not the same comparing to 2 years ago, it got... read more

The Management goes above and beyond to make your meal a very memorable one. My brother has been telling me about the food for years, he treated me to dinner. I was really impressed with the food quality. I know the décor is outdated, but I went for the food. I will go back in a heartbeat.

Old furnishings. Dead air conditioning. Not enough waitstaff. Slow service. One bottle of each wine so they could not bring a second. But worse: the lobster was overcooked and chewy. This used to be our favorite. Best to let old memories fade. Let this place die on its own.

First of all, I need to tell you I'm a Maritimer although living in Toronto. And of course Lobster is a delicious offering to me. So driving past The Lobster Trap restaurant on a frequent basis I said, each time, to my soulmate "we should go there". Finally, early one evening, parked the car in the lot just behind, we... More

2 people ordered 1 1/4 broiled lobster, the pasta and had lobster bisque. We had a Buytopia voucher - $30 for $60 worth of food. All the food was delicious but they all had one thing in common. Very rich... overly rich. I think they overuse cream and/or butter to make it taste so good but then you can only... More

Had a great dinner. Lobster Thermidore was yummy and very rich! Lobster Newburgh was rich and creamy. Salad was fresh and the in house blue cheese dressing was delicious!
