Authentic, small Japanese restaurant

We visited this restaurant as we wanted to try out a new sushi place. Japango is a very small restaurant with a lot of tables squeezed in limited space. However, the place has a lot of charm and a truly Japanese vibe to it. We visited for lunch and both had a bento box. The portions are ok, but... read more

Had dinner here on recommendation by a friend. Seafood was fresh, katsudon was deliciously hot and the pear+tofu salad was a savoury surprise. My advice is to go with no more than 4 people and make a reservation as the restaurant is fairly small.

This is my absolute favourite spot for Nigiri and Sashimi, i've honestly never ordered a roll here... but it has a much more authentic feel to it, so I don't feel like i'm missing out at all. Regrettably, I do think the name was a horrible choice, probably making passersby think they're walking past a chain, or fast food pop-up.... More

I had heard a lot about this place and the queue out the door, 1900 on a Friday validated its popularity. So did the newspaper articles posted in the window and the pictures of celebrities on the wall. The tiny little place was packed and the food coming out looked good. We waited for about 15 minutes past our 1900... More

The sushi was simply outstanding. Myself and two colleagues had an impromptu visit here and our bill for three large sushi platters, a beer and two glasses of wine was a little over $100, which I thought was quite good. Soup and salad comes with each meal. The place is very small, meaning it seats about 12-15 people. We didn't... More

Found this place by accident. It holds about 8 or 9 tables and it was packed all the time. Fast service and very well prepared food. I would come back and recommend this place.

The foods are quite pricey her, but it worth every dollar you spend. The quality and freshness of the fish is impress. You won't find this quality of fish in any AYCE restaurant n Toronto.

I like Japanese food, especially sushi and sashimi. I don't eat if often. Having lived in Toronto since 1978, I'd found my 'go to' Japanese restaurant. And then I went to Japango. It's ruined me for anywhere else. Quality of ingredients. Freshness. Presentation. You name it. As fine a food experience as you can muster. Don't quibble: just go!

First thing you must know. No matter which day or time you intend to go there get a reservation. The reason for it is simple. The place is tiny. I mean tiny like your dining room at home. Seriously. I counted around 20 seats. That is it. No seating at the sushi bar. Nothing. Nada. That said, the food is... More

This is the bests sushi I have eaten! Small little place however the service is great. Make sure to make a reservation as there are only 9 tables. HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.
