Recommended by friends of friends who work in Toronto. Your food is prepared within metres of you in this tiny but perfect sushi restaurant. This is the place to try every imaginable type of Sushi. Having been once, I returned on 4 separate occasions during the trip. Particularly recommend the bento boxes for value. We walked in as opposed to... More

I really recommend this restaurant, for its fresh sashimi, the japango special roll, the tea, and the service! Especially the "japango special roll", amazing! On top of the roll, there's raw scallop. Underneath it's raw salmon. They're half cooked by the "flame gun"(?). When you eat the whole piece in one bite, the scallop and salmon all melt in your... More

The restaurant is tiny (~20 covers), but will accept reservations in advance. The sushi is delicious, you can watch the chefs preparing it all at the open bar. Prices very reasonable for the quality of the food.

My meal at Japango was the best sushi experience I have ever had... The service was polite and professional. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for quality sushi

Iate at this restaurant a few times but i dont find it more special than the japanese restaurant next door but the price is more expensive! The atmosphere is cosy and quiet. But not really worth the money though....

The sashimi was super fresh and tasty. This tiny little place was such a welcome and fun vibe after a long day in the office. I hope my office sends me to Toronto again soon just so I can come back;)

Service was fast and professional. It is a very small place, about 25 seats, a conservative menu of sushis. Miso soup was overly salted. Young asian students crowd, which brought life to the restaurant. An ok choice, nothing more or less.

I stumble upon this little gem by accident and was pleasantly surprised to find out later that Japango won several awards. The several meals I had there were fantastic and so fresh that you will not regret having to wait for a table if you come in around 8pm. Best times are lunch time, no waiting ;)

Smart enough to make reservations, not smart enough to imagine we would have to wait 40 minutes as the previous occupants were so in love with the food they would not leave! Very apologetic owner, a free egg soup, great sashimi and chirashi, sublime japango rolls. The young waiter was not on his game, no soy dishes nor soy until... More
