Spacious Place

Great pub grub and value. Friendly staff who were efficient and shared some homey information about Toronto, in specific, and, Canada, in general. Try the Steak and Mushroom pie...good dish.

I ate here on my first night in Toronto and found the food to be decent and affordably priced. I had the tomato cheddar soup, poutine and panna cotta. I wouldn't say any of it was amazing, but it was better than average and afforable. The pub itself has a nice relaxed atmosphere.

We met at this place for cocktails before our dinner at onoir which is a block away. Very accommodating for a party of 8. Waitress was fun to deal with. Didn't stay for the karaoke but I'm sure it would be a blast

Words can't describe how awful my experience was here. To rude staff to food that wasn't fit for a dog. Never got one pleasant word from our waiter and he had rolled his eyes at as when we asked a question as if we were a bother to them

First trip to Toronto, we had two meals here - the first visit mainly due to close proximity to our hotel but felt it it was well worth a return visit Good atmosphere - the food more than acceptable, what we would describe in uk as great "pub grub" Good service - we visited around 8pm and food arrived promptly... This bar and grill looks quite nondescript from the outside and we walked past several times without a second look, but on our last night we ventured in to find it is really welcoming and nicely presented. It has a really varied menu which is very well priced. Nice choice of draught beers and some lovely cocktails! We enjoyed some... More

We live in Brantford, Ontario but once a month or so we like to visit Toronto. On our last visit we found what must be one Toronto’s best kept secrets, a small restaurant called Spirits Bar and Grill located at 642 Church Street, one block south of Bloor Street. Tucked away in an older building we weren’t sure what to... More

Went for a cocktail after the theater and ordered a grey goose martini. Tasted like Spring Water. Great glass of water, but worst martini I have ever had. I guess they have a lot of beers on tap, but I am not a beer drinker. The atmosphere is OK, but if you are looking for a good cocktail, this is... More

In my visits to Toronto I always go to Spirits for a great meal and a fun and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is exceptional and service is second to none. Highly recommend the spinach and arugula salad, so fresh and simply delicious (as were all the culinary selections I've had there). Absolutely a must do for lovers of great food,... More

Spirits is a relaxing bar and grill with polite staff. The deep fried pickles are worth a try. On my second visit I ordered the pot pie. I was advised that they didn't have any mashed potatoes which was disappointing but they did substitute for no additional cost. Karaoke night can get busy.
