Good food...friendly staff!

We decided to have dinner here after the theatre. The atmosphere is welcoming as was the staff. When we were unsure of the wine to choose we were given two tastings to help us decide. Food was very good and the tiramisu is yummy. Will definitely be back.

My partner and I have visited this restaurant a few times now and it is becoming our restaurant of choice when we venture downtown from quiet Burlington. The surroundings, the friendly staff and the absolutely delicious food are what keep us coming back! My favourite dish is the Veal Marsala, but I have also had the lamb chops. My partner... More

My best friend purchased a Groupon for the 4-course dinner to celebrate my birthday. We enjoyed our meal, mostly because of the excellent service from our server Terri and the owner Carlo. We appreciated that she asked if we had to attend another function (since it was TIFF season), but no, we were settled in for the night and were... More

We went to Mirto with a Groupon with friends to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was such a nice experience. The staff went out of their way to make sure everything was just right.

While on holiday in Toronto my wife and I found Mirito downtown. In an office building we found this unique spot (converted bank) to be fun with enjoyable food and atmosphere. Being an off night the owners became our friends for various chats. The food was very good and home cooked. We'd go back when we return.

We had a good meal here as a date night. Food was good, my wife loved the veggie pasta but besides that nothing stood out in my mind. The $65 Groupon is really just getting you a $65 meal. There is no way it's worth more than that which is why they have a set menu for the Groupon customers... More

We were visiting Toronto for a few days and I had bought a Groupon coupon for this restaurant because it has lots of great reviews. We arrived at 3:00 pm ( there was only one person inside) and I asked a table for two. The host looked at us like:" What are you doing here?". We were dressed like tourists... More

My boyfriend and I have been in Canada for a couple of days now. We met a wonderful gentlemen that referred us and walked us to the doors of this restaurant and even had a drink with us. We were greeted and sat by a lovely woman who made the best apple sour according to my boyfriend(he had 3). Carlo,... More

Had Lunch, tried the pasta special of the day, with hot italian sausage. This is one of the best Italian's restaurants I have eaten in. I normally go to the Terroni's which is very close to this restaurant. This one has a very nice Mom and Pop Feel and the food quality was really good. was crowded for lunch. recommend... More

We found it difficult to locate this restaurant, but sought it out as it was well reviewed. There was no menu outside, and when we went in, we were the only customers. The food was nice, but the atmosphere was non-existent. With huge vaulted ceilings we felt the size of ants. Service was brisk, until we came to pay. By... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
