We had a good meal here as a date night. Food was good, my wife loved the veggie pasta but besides that nothing stood out in my mind. The $65 Groupon is really just getting you a $65 meal. There is no way it's worth more than that which is why they have a set menu for the Groupon customers... More

We were visiting Toronto for a few days and I had bought a Groupon coupon for this restaurant because it has lots of great reviews. We arrived at 3:00 pm ( there was only one person inside) and I asked a table for two. The host looked at us like:" What are you doing here?". We were dressed like tourists... More

My boyfriend and I have been in Canada for a couple of days now. We met a wonderful gentlemen that referred us and walked us to the doors of this restaurant and even had a drink with us. We were greeted and sat by a lovely woman who made the best apple sour according to my boyfriend(he had 3). Carlo,... More

Had Lunch, tried the pasta special of the day, with hot italian sausage. This is one of the best Italian's restaurants I have eaten in. I normally go to the Terroni's which is very close to this restaurant. This one has a very nice Mom and Pop Feel and the food quality was really good. was crowded for lunch. recommend... More

We found it difficult to locate this restaurant, but sought it out as it was well reviewed. There was no menu outside, and when we went in, we were the only customers. The food was nice, but the atmosphere was non-existent. With huge vaulted ceilings we felt the size of ants. Service was brisk, until we came to pay. By... More

Food is fantastic (best Penne I ever had). A fine selection of wines. Atmosphere is warm and cozy. But the Owner is what makes the experience exceptional! Interacts with the customers, pays attention to details and has a great memory.

Think of it as your favorite neighborhood restaurant if you are away from home. While staying in Toronto for a business/pleasure trip, we stumbled upon this spot and had dinner with 3 other couples. We were treated to fantastic service and food from start to finish. Great prices in downtown Toronto too! Loved the tiramisu! We enjoyed it so much,... More

A group of 8 of us dined there tonight. What a great experience. Loved the comfortable, cozy ambiance. The owners are serving you and do a great job, very attentive but they do not interrupt when you are in a conversation. They made the whole evening entertaining, Carlo was excellent. We had everything from wine, appetizers, pizza, entrees and dessert.... More

We have been there twice now, as the food and the service were excellent. The Caesar salad dressing tasted just like in the old days when it was prepared tableside in a large wooden bowl: the romaine was fresh and crisp: delicious. The homemade tiramisu was amazing. Service was attentive and they went out of their way, even noticing that... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
