The decor was changed several years ago - wasn't so bad before but now is brighter, modern, and minimalist. Very professional and easy-going at the same time. Wonderful selection of vegetarian foods. Some photos of what the dishes look like may be even more helpful in making selections. Prices were reasonable for food of very high quality. Wheelchair, scooter and... More

King's Café intrigued us since it was a vegetarian Asian restaurant. We were very excited to try it. During our Kensington Market visit, we decided to sample some appetizers for a "to go" snack. We ordered several dumplings to go. It took a while to deliver the food, but we assumed that it must be so, because it may need... More

King's Cafe is a great addition to the growing vegan scene in Toronto's Kensington Market. Asian inspired vegetarian dishes with some of the best mock meat imaginable. The crispy barbecue seitan looks and tastes like BBQ duck. Tender chunks of "meat" in a sweet BBQ sauce with a crispy exterior. Fantastic! Great dumplings and Stir fried vegetables over crispy rice... More

When looking at the incredible amount of choice in the menu, the small number of tables, and somewhat down-to-earth atmosphere of the venue, one wonders whether the good will be any good. Thankfully the first dish dispels any doubt. Portions are rich, food excellent and service very friendly. Tastes just as good as trendy Asians in New York or London,... More

Clean, well- decorated, friendly service. Their salad had a really nice house dressing with fresh flavour. The vegetarian chicken with ginger was too bland for my taste. The eggplant dish was nice and flavourful and their tea authentic. It is definitely with trying.

Ate here last week while visiting Kensington Market with several friends. I was pleasantly surprised by the large number of vegetarian options they have on the menu, including gluten free dishes and tofu dishes that mimic a lot of different kinds of meats (e.g., shrimp, chicken, beef). We ended up ordering sweet/sour soup, potstickers, spring rolls, and 3 entrees (an... More

I ended up at King's Cafe sort of by accident last week. I had neat to go to another Kensington Mkt Vegan restaurant that turns out to be closed Mondays. My friends and I strolled down to King's Cafe. In short, a menu full of delicious vegan dishes served by very friendly people. Non veg-heads needn't worry, the food is... More

Visited for lunch during the Christmas break. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent vegetarian dim sum selection available. They also have great entrees, and sushi. We also had a tasty soup, and some barbequed seitan. The best addition to this restaurant is an area to purchase a variety of the vegan dishes that are on the menu that are... More

Went here with a friend, and I was pretty impressed! Its an all vegetarian restaurant (as the name implies) and I was blown away. The food was so tasty, and the portions were a good size. I'd definitely recommend the soy nuggets (tasted almost like chicken nuggets!). The service was a little slow, and the atmosphere could use some work,... More

I had a break in Toronto last week and finished my stay with a meal at this wonderful restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food prepared was to a very high standard. An excellent restaurant to visit during your stay in Toronto. After the meal I travelled by car to Pearson airport 30 minutes drive away.
