So many dishes to try...

Tapas is a wonderful way to try different menu items, but even then, it was hard to stop at 6. Favourites included the venison and the ceviche. We started with a fig and a foie gras bite. The preparation of the fig was lovely and the blue cheese satisfyingly strong. The foie gras was very smooth... read more

It was total luck that we ended up dining at Cava on a Monday evening. Shortly after being seated, our waiter informed us that all wines - not just a small selection - were 50% off. Cava has a very extensive wine list (no surprise that it's heavy on Spanish selections) and they are reasonably priced to begin with. But... More

Cava is a small comfortable restaurant on Yonge north of St. Clair. Ambiance is quiet and pleasant and service is good. The food is mostly small plates of shareable tasty dishes. Lots of seafood choices. Nice wine selection. I enjoyed dinner here and I will likely return. It's a bit pricey for location and the type of food but it... More

I have been wanting to try Cava for years. It is located out of the tourist trek, hid in a shopping mall, but it is a great restaurant. Tapas/small plates with very inventive combinations and great execution. We chose the "let us cook for you option" and were delighted by the outcome. Perfect amount of food and perfect choices. All... More

As I get older the site of a large plate of food does not appeal to me. At Cava the concept of eating a large variety of food in small portions is very appealing ! Tapas style eating seems to be the rage today but if the food can tempt you palate by only a small tasting perhaps with today's... More

After dining here, I can understand how it made Canada's list of top 100 Restaurants. The food was delicious and an incredible mix of things I had never had before. My friend and I took advantage of the "Let us feed you" option on the menu, which took all the guess work out of the experience and made it more... More

Trying hard to be Spanish when you're not. ... Overwhelming cumin flavours, no bread unless you ask, papas fritas served in a paper cone cut like "french fries"????... how can anyone rate this as a good Spanish or a "whatever" good restaurant. Fantastic selection of wine, nice decor but does that make it a good Spanish tapas restaurant? The ceviche... More

One of the unheralded, better restaurants in Toronto is "Cava". Located in a non descript mall alley, just north of St. Clair and Yonge, you would never head for this place if you did not know what was going on there...And, it's fair to say, a lot is going on. Basically a Spanish tapas concept, the place puts out a... More

Since Cava serves many inventive and delicious small pleas, this is a great place to visit with another couple or small group of friends. The idea is to order lots of different items, tapas style, and share them around the table. Each item we tried was exquisite, and there are lots of options for vegetarians and carnivores alike. The management... More

This restaurant experience was very disappointing. The service was very slow (we waited almost one hour just for Serrano ham to arrive), the quality of food they serve isn’t exceptional and the quantity is ridiculously small… In addition to this they are very pricy… As Europeans we know how Spanish food should look and taste and this one is just...
