Always a good time

My husband and I go every now and then for cava, charcuterie and my favourite dish, the fried eggplant! We like to sit at the bar...good service. They also have a great sherry selection.

Went to Cava based on a Globe and Mail review. It was true to the review, food great, fun place to eat, The best part was the wine is half price on Mondays making it a great place to visit on a Monday ! The service was excellent, very professional. serving size was great for 3 to share. The appetizers... More

Happened upon Cava outside Union Station this evening and it was awesome. Great professional service and really good snacks. Crunchy chick peas with zatar and super good fries with rosemary very reasonably priced too. Check it out!

this is the third time I have been here and my second review after about two year gap. They have managed to keep the standards to a very high level, and make it a wonderful place to have an unusual and high-quality dinner. We went with the tasting dinner, and had no idea what dish would follow next. We had... More

Four of us went on a special occasion. We chose Monday because their wines are half-price that day. Their wine list is very large and offers many good Spanish wines, of course. We ordered about 10 plates that were mostly very good, such as: jamon Trevelez; scallops; snapper ceviche; grilled eggplant with tomatillo, cheese and shaved bonito. The scallops were... More

Went on a recommendation of a friend, nice and easy to find. Inside looks nice but overall was not that impressed with the food except the Iberico ham that they slice for you there and then....We were a large group and tried almost everything on the menu, not cheap for some dishes but we wanted to get a feel of... I recently took my partner here for his birthday. It's pricey but well worth it for special occasions. The food and service were perfect! We highly recommend it.

We went earlier this week with a small group of 5 for a business dinner. We had the "trust" menu meaning that they bring out a selection until you can't do more. It was Amazing and upon the waiters recommendation we had great wines paired with the food. Everybody love the food, wine and service. Would be back in a... More

It was total luck that we ended up dining at Cava on a Monday evening. Shortly after being seated, our waiter informed us that all wines - not just a small selection - were 50% off. Cava has a very extensive wine list (no surprise that it's heavy on Spanish selections) and they are reasonably priced to begin with. But... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
