Great lunch at a vegetarian restaurant reliable for imaginative cooking

I had the zucchini noodles made into a Pad Thai with toasted almonds. My husband had a wonderful pancake dish with guacamole filler. The soup special was mushroom and kale, with a bit of cumin flavor. My mother-in-law had a manicotti dish. I also loved the lime-ade made with coconut water, lime and... read more

I do not live in Toronto, but I make sure I come to eat at Live Food Bar every time I visit my parents. I believe this was the very first raw restaurant in GTA. Being a customer for years, I have a few favorites, strongly recommend trying nachos 😋 an almond dream bar, cheesecake. Although the menu changes, its... More

This vegan casual resto in the Annex (Dupont subway stop is closest) serves well presented flavourful dishes, both raw and cooked. Burritos, falafels, "pizza", big salads, soups... Some dishes are "deconstructed" such as their so-called pizza. If you're concerned about such things, the food is low-salt, low sugar, clean, and not overly oily, like some other vegan place we've eaten... More

I recently decided to visit this restaurant after reading good reviews about it. Based on my personal experience the food was good but found it on the pricey side. Desert was my favorite part of dinner. The service was ok, we had two different serves; one of the servers paid close attention to our table and was always checking on... More

We stopped by here for some pick-me-up drinks after several hours touring Casa Loma. We ordered the berry buzz spritzer, a chocolaty smoothie, and the electric green juice. All three were delicious, though my daughter did not care for the dried flowers floating on top of the spritzer. The green juice was one of the best I have had anywhere.... More

I went here with a friend for dinner prior to going to Casa Loma. This place is located right outside the Dupont subway station fyi. The menu is extensive and I landed on the falafel wrap. When it arrived, it was a lot smaller than I anticipated. It was flavourful but I have had better. My friend ordered one of... More

I think I've tried just about everything on the menu and it's all amazing. The service is great and it's in a nice spot. The takeout location is great too.

I am not a vegetarian but I love organic ingredients. I do not miss the meat at all here. The mushroom appetizer is flavourful, delightfully seasoned and rather large, so sharing works well. The raw beet burger was amazing...sadly my daughter ordered it, so I only got a taste. The bowl salads are full of ingredients that blend nicely. Then... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
