The Hot House Restaurant & Bar is one of the busiest restaurants in Toronto and the reason is clear... Great food. The Hot House offers spacious, colourfully decorated rooms and an upbeat atmosphere in addition to an eclectic menu to suit all tastes. From thin-crust gourmet pizzas to steaks, rack of lamb, Cajun shrimp, numerous pasta dishes, seasonal salads, and decadent desserts, this menu has it all, including an extensive vegetarian selection. The Hot House Restaurant & Bar also has an extensive selection of wines from around the world, as well as an impressive cocktail menu and a selection of offerings from Canadian microbreweries. The sun-drenched 150 seat patio at the Hot House is an excellent setting to sample some fine Italian wines, Canadian craft beers, or the one of the best mojitos and margaritas in the city. In addition to the patio and the eclectic menu, the Hot House also offers group menus and private areas ideal for birthdays, showers, office parties, meetings, or any other function.

Try their Cajun shrimp pasta. Nothing like it! A great weekend or girls brunch place.

Recently went here for dinner - it was a great meal. All the members of my party enjoyed their dinner. Selection looked great, lots of pasta and pizza on the menu. I was pleasantly surprised by the interesting menu and the good quality food for a very large restaurant. Service was good, fairly attentive waiter and timely, despite the fact... More

First I should say the staff is warm and friendly, but clearly in constant fear of their manager. The food is completely overpriced, the manager confronts us about where we parked our bikes which was chosen by our waitress. Did not obstruct the path of anyone. The manager wanted us to leave! but we tell him we already ordered a... More

I have dined here a few times for dinner and never been disappointed. Our last visit was indicative of the previous - the service was good and attentive and the meal delicious. I ordered the Jambalaya and it was excellent. The prawns were seared separately from the main dish and added later so that they were not tough or rubbery.... More

Pretty typical fare but it is in a good location close to St. Lawrence Market. Line up too long for brunch so never bothered going back.

We made a reservation for brunch on a Sunday, expecting it to be busy. They warned us that we needed to show up on time and would have to leave after 2 hrs, and that they where very strict about this. When we arrived for our reservation we had a 45 min wait before we could be seated. Not an... More

I chose to go to this restaurant for Mother's Day due to the reviews. There was 6 of us. When i booked the reservation, they suggested to book for 3:30 as the afternoon dinner menu would be available and there would be live music. Guess what, there was no live music, and the afternoon dinner menu basically was everything that... More

Outside it looks like a fast-food joint. But wait until you see and then taste the buffet breakfast.

While it doesn't feature in the regular write-ups about Toronto dining, the Hot House Cafe has lots of choice and everything I've ever had there has been excellent. A good before theatre spot and in a fun area. It's popular, though, so it's a good idea to reserve. And it can be noisy in spots.

One of the top Sunday Brunch spots in TO, you will not be disappointed as long as you have a reservation. Great Live Jazz while you enjoy your buffet offerings, the largest variety I have ever enjoyed. Properly priced for the ambiance and quality of food options. The service is outstanding. Great for families, separate areas for large groups is... More
