Had dinner here last week with hubby & some friends. Was really looking forward to it as have wanted to eat here for a while but as we live in Switzerland could not go on a whim. Arriving for our 8:30 reservation we were pleased to hear that there was, in fact, a patio table available for us. Hurrah! Out... More

I echo the many fine compliments heaped on this deserving establishment. Comfortable and hip ambience, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff, world class cuisine from an exceptional kitchen and a first class sommelier with eclectic offerings. They also have a vegan tasting menu! As vegans this is our first choice for fine dining with non vegan friends.

Had an amazing 10 course tasting menu (with wine flight) for a birthday celebration. Absolutely loved how the kitchen mixed the courses- my husband had a different plate each time, allowing us to switch half way through and try each others courses. The food was elegant and tasty, service friendly and not at all stuffy. Truly an inspiring meal! Thanks... More

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, lovely setting including a terrace out the back and flavorsome food (served in a decorative, deconstructed format). We had the five course tasting menu which was nicely thought out and presented. The one unusual aspect was that the whole table doesn't get the same dish (for example, three of our table had fois gras served in... More

We booked this as it looked interesting and had good reviews on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed, although I have made a mental note to check the prices first in future as it is not the cheapest restaurant in Toronto. It is a great place for a special occasion as it is a lovely setting (we ate in the patio)... More

While visiting friends in Toronto my wife and I had dinner at George Restaurant (111C Queen Street East; tel. (416) 863-6001). We had read very positive reviews of this restaurant and were looking for fine dining during our visit. We certainly were not disappointed! In fact, mid way through our dinner there on 10 July, 2014, we decided to cancel... More

We ate dinner at this restaurant in July 2014 and the weather was very cooperative ...75c with no humidity. We ate in the patio and it is a really wonderful place for a romantic dinner. The food was acceptable but not noteworthy for the price. However the setting made up for any indifference with the food. The wait staff were... More

George is one of those gems that not too many people know about. Just yesterday while conversing with someone at Pain Perdue and then my Pilates instructor who is a foodie, I mentioned we were celebrating our 41st anniversary at George. Neither had ever heard of it. Too bad for them. We've been going there for years to celebrate very... More

A group of our friends did the 5-course tasting menu and it did not disappoint. The bread to start was delicious, and each course was also very good. Be prepared to spend at least 3 hours for a 5-course meal though, it's a long experience. The food is sophisticated but not in a way where the ingredients muddle the dish,... More

it was a spontaneous visit to a new place but we were pleasantly surprised with the staff efficiency (fast, polite service) and variety of food and its quality. You can either take fix menu with compatible wines by glass or choose from the list. The menu is for any taste and habits - I liked the vegetarian part in particular.... More
