Cheap drink and food

Must be one of cheapest in the city for food and drink. Got the nachos for starters and fish and chips. Every thing was good and good size portions. Haven't got anything else other that the fish cause it's too good to pass.

First time we went here years ago we had a great experience: OK food, great atmosphere and a jaw-droppingly small tab. What could be better. I don't know if it's gotten worse, or if over the years I've experienced it a little more sober each time, but as of the last time I have to say the food is pretty... More

I love going to this place. I learned about it from friends. It isn't expensive and I have always had great comfort food here! I love the soups especially the Pho style soup. They had some great rice noodle spring rolls too. I don't like sangra but I like the Sangria that the Green Room has. I cannot remember all... More

Quirky and relaxed, after a busy day all we were looking for was cheap and easy food and beer and this place ticked the boxes. Good selection of drink choice and the food was tasty and well sized. None of use were left disappointed as we slumped back in the sofas to let our food digest. Music was really good... More

This is a very unique bar, hidden in a small alley of the annex, you have to know it to go there. I've spent lot of nights there, I have never been sick even if the hygiene looks suspect... Very cheap, unique design, enjoyable patio, everything is delightful for me there. The best bar of Toronto!

It is a very relaxing spot, with used unmatching furniture and unique art pieces, very cozy! Has cheap drinks, never ate there though so not sure about their food.

As a former long-time Green Room customer let me tell you who you are if you're going to the Green Room (if you can find it in the back alley off Brunswick Avenue): - aged 19-50 - work in retail, service, hospitality, are a student or are unemployed (hey, they don't judge) - not quirmy about sitting on well broken-in... It is a gem nested in a well hidden spot in the Annex. Price for food and beverage in the Green Room would be below the average pubs and bars in Downtown. Even some might complain the food not so great, but this is much better than most dinners, pubs and bars in the area. Great place to hang out,... More

The food is very cheap here. $2.95 for bacon, eggs, a slice of toast, fries and a salad and not bad! The decor is not great..mismatched chairs on the patio, dark on the inside. Bathrooms were reasonably clean. Overall it's an okay place to catch a decent, reasonably priced meal, sip on sangria and sit on a patio.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
