Kids loved it - but not a lot of veggies...

Our kids picked Grill Time and loved grilling their own meat, chicken and seafood. Meat, chicken and seafood are the main attractions though. We wisely ordered dinner for four which was plenty for two adults and two kids (versus all-you-can-eat) and came with beef broth, rice and vegetable sides... read more

Korean Grill House – Yonge & Bloor – service was good, the food itself was good not great, Kimchi a bit too sweet, the hot sauce was good, but they had not properly cleaned the in-table griller that had the effect of giving both of us upset stomachs for the next two days. We had eaten there before and it... More

Not everyone likes going to a restaurant where you're served raw food and then you must grill it yourself, but I find it quite interesting. There was a bunch of people waiting inside. After 20 minutes we managed to get a table at the street level, near the window, so we could see the ever-changing 'scenery' on Yonge Street. The... More

I went there last month. The all u can eat thing is ok, although all the meat taste the same. There was one thing attract my attention. They were cleaning the table next to me and I saw they were seperating those leftover dishes. One waitress was taking those half empty dishes back to the kitchen and the other guy... More

I stopped in here for lunch this week, after walking by it several times and noticing the fire pits built into the tables. The menus are in several pieces and unfortunately the servers were not fluent enough in English to explain it, but by watching others and working through the menu several times, i figured it out. They bring you... More

Went to Grill Time after a show yesterday. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in to the time we left. Generous portions, tasty, fresh and attentive. Would go back again for sure when in the area. Go hungry!!

What do look for restaurant for lunch? A menu with some favourites (a well-executed Bbq) plus some variety (Ramen soup, Bbim-bhab, sizzling plates), friendly attentive service, and reasonable prices. I keep coming back.

This was my first time at a Korean "hot pot" or Korean BBQ and I was very pleased. For about $16 we enjoyed an unlimited selection of raw meats to cook on a live hot pot fixed in the centre of our seating. This included squid, shrimp, chicken, pork ribs and a variety of other meats and vegetables, along with... More

We took our kids out to this place around 8:30pm, the place was more than half full. We had the all you can B.B.Q. . The burner at the center of the table was really cool idea. They brought out the raw meat and veg in little trays. The cuts of meat where tender and not spiced up. The only... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
