Great breakfast spot.

We go to Fran's for breakfast every week. The service has always been good and their menu has a lot of options. Prices are pretty good too and their portions are generous. They tend to get very busy on Friday mornings so you'd be lucky to get a table if you're with a large group. I would recommend... read more

Our food was cooked quick and well. The Monte Cristo sandwich was only missing a dusting of powdered sugar and some raspberry jam to make it perfect. The waitress treated us as if we were her priority and was very friendly

I have been to Fran's several times. The service is fast and efficient, the food is always served hot. The last time I was there, I had the herb and cheese omelet with asparagus: delicious. Hamburgers are excellent. Lasagna is average, but I make my own so not fair to compare! It was nice and hot. The manager is always... More

Great selection of food to satisfy everyone, and they serve beer! I've been here twice in the last 9 months and had the same waitress both times. Great both times. Will go back!

Some of us had lunch and some of us had breakfast. Party of 7 and the food was just average. Our server, Erin was awesome and did a fantastic job. He did a great job looking after the 7 of us, thank you Aaron ? Erin ? Airin ? Errin ? However he spells his name, don't matter.

Once, not all that long ago, Fran`s had five restaurants in Toronto. The menu was appealing, and the slow and matronly service seemed to be, appealingly, from another era. Their breakfasts were huge and tasty, their signature coffee, apple pie, and rice pudding delicious. Now, in 2015, they seem to have fallen on hard times. I had to ask twice... More

This place is more of an iconic institutional landmark then a great restaurant honestly. Toronto has the largest selection in the world for food but honestly there is nothing like being hungover at frans with vegetarian options and some great greasy food! The coffee gets a good b+ and the place seems organized. With no shortage of grease and fat... More

Went for a breakfast, the four of us on the Family Day Monday morning. Things were busy, but was assigned a table within a coupe of minutes. Our first visit to this iconic restaurant. Was impressed with the menu as it had a fair amount of dishes suitable for vegetarians. We ordered a Vegetarian Rainbow Benedict, a Vegetarian Omelette, Mixed... More

I hadn't been here in 35 years. It is in a great location, a block from our hotel. We went for a hearty breakfast. It was very reasonably priced and the food plentiful, hot and tasty. The waiter made us feel very welcome and kept the coffee coming. Thanks Fran's for not disappointing!
