The food is excellent and the staff are delight to tell you about it. The staff really complete the dining experince. I found it a touch noisy, the music might have been a touch too loud. I felt like I was yelling. Also the tables are very close together so at times it feels like you are taking part in... more

I went to Colborne Lane to celebrate my birthday with my best friend and we had one of the best dining experience ever! We tried the 10-course tasting menu for $109 and it was just a marvellous experience! Each course was a work of art and we were truly impressed! The service was also impeccable and our server was extremely... more

Tried Colborne lane for molecular gastronomy as I have tried Alinea. Taste was good, cod was very delicate and well seasoned. The highlight was the ice cream being made at the end. Service was good, ambiance fair. Wondered why they assigned a specific time since it was empty when we arrived for a party of 8. more

After strugging to get a booking in the afternoon because the snotty hostess said the restaurant was fully booked - but she might squeeze us in at the bar. We arrived that night to a half empty restaurant. The food was excellent mix of flavours tastes and colours and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. My wife had steak... more

Claudio Aprile's creations are certainly wonderful, but the remarkably inattentive, poor and pretentious waitstaff were sufficiently bad that we left with a bitter taste in our mouths. One choice line from the staff: "Guess it sucks to be you." (when my dining companion mentioned she was vegetarian). Poor knowledge of the menu. Couldn't keep a water glass filled. I might... more

I took my husband to Colborne Lane for dinner last week for his birthday and we opted for the tasting menu paired with wine...it was honestly the best meal we have ever had!!! We enjoyed every single exquisite bite and I have to say, the presentation alone was stunning. The service was superb (ask for Andrew...he's amazing!) and the trendy... more

Had the "Colborne Lane experience", which meant the 10-course tasting menu. At $129 it was a bit pricey, but the food was very good. Lots of molecular gastronomy at work here. Beef tenderloin and black cod were my favorite courses. Lemon creme fraiche was turned into ice cream table side with a cauldron of liquid nitrogen. Very attentive service. more

There are few good restaraunts in Toronto. Take advantage of this place. We are foodies and loved taking the Tasting Menu without looking. Perfect except: NOISY, no Table cloths. But enjoy at least once in your life. more

The atmosphere is very nice. Service is excellent. We opted for a tasting menu but you can order a la carte. Food is very good and the servers describe it to you so you can identify the ingredients. You will appreciate flavours you don't normally have day-to-day (at least not I). Everything on the plate is yummy. The highlight is... more

Colborne Lane is easily one of the best restaurants in this city... why it is #61 on the popularity list baffles me ... Maybe it's the fact that it runs a bit on the expensive side. The menu is nothing short of genius. The innovative pairings, the new flavours and novel ways of preparing items, as well as just the... more
