Fantastic food and lovely service

We were taken here by some clients so had no idea about the restaurant. What a lovely place, we had a cosy table by the fireplace which was perfect as it was so cold outside. The menu was well balanced and varied and the wine list was extensive. Everyone's food was delicious and I can't write this... read more

Came here with my brother and we split 3 starters and 2 entrees. The scallop was incredible, tuna tartare was great, and the smoked beef tenderloin was just OK. The duck was excellent and the venison was average. So it was kind of a hit and miss meal but the hits were memorable Service was a little slow for our... More

We visited just after Christmas the place was very busy so it has a following. I found the service to be good the staff attentive but not amazing. The food was above average but just above average. I feel that for the prices they charge I expected a lot more than just above average. It just is not worth the money.

This is our first choice for Fine Dining Experience, and to celebrate special occasions, and some times, just to make us feel special. More of an experience than we have ever had, anywhere!

No one told us that Valentine's Day prix fixe menu at $150 per person was our only choice on Valentine's night. Last year, they had their main menu available alongside. The amount of food and its quality certainly did not catch up to this price. Halibut, for instance, was bland and rubbery.

Great corner of the woods, NW of Yonge and York Mills. Congenial reception at the door and parkade. Well explained dishes and deserts with helpful choices from the waiter. An overall joyful and pleasant evening.

Went thinking it was Winterlicious but no matter that it wasn't. My friend and I found an outstandingly creative gourmet lunch menu with half portion size options that were presented elegantly, tasted excellent, enjoyed the business-like yet warmly comfortable quiet environment, and experienced pleasantly knowledgeable fast service. Lunch time parking not the best but free at night.

Overall, we had an ok experience. The wine missed the mark, we tried two glasses and both fell to the left or right of centre. The food as well, really missed the mark. Like other reviews for the winterlicious menu, it was a little bland and missed that 'bang' you come to expect. Next time, we will stay away during... More

We dined here for Winterlicious and were very disappointed. The food was just okay in taste but nothing I would ever want to eat again. The portion size was ridiculous. One fingerful of terrine that was mediocre for an appetizer, a very thin ( about 1/8 inch thick) small piece of fish for a main, and a single tiny piece... More
