Always a hit

This place is great. The food is good, and the atmosphere even better. This is hipster joint in Toronto. We got the classic combination of fried chicken and waffles and eggs Benny. Patio and inside dining.

If you love the boring, white suburbs, you will not love this hotel. If, however, you like urban, diverse, creative and energized, you may LOVE it.

The Drake Hotel is clearly trying to copy the Ace Hotel model, cultivating a hip (read: pretentious) clientele. But don't let that stop you from coming here. Much like the Ace, if you ignore the obnoxious patrons you'll notice impeccably designed spaces and excellent food. We had a phenomenal dinner on the roof deck, which was charmingly decorated and pleasant.... More

Rather long way from my hotel but well worth the travel. Had dinner with a friend. Heard about it from the great reviews. Dimly lit, full to bursting. Had a bar on the terrace which appeared to be popular with the locals. Good selection of drinks to satisfy every palate. Would recommend the Lobster Nacho's.

We had the steak and fries. The steak was one of the most amazing steaks I've had at a restaurant. Will definitely eat here again!

We visited for drinks and desserts. What an amazing scene! the desserts were original but a little small. The drink menu is great with a lot of original combinations. A must visit!

Had the great coffee, Benedict's and chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles wee the star. The waffles were very light and crispy and chicken flavourful.

The server was a friendly Alberta boy happy to be serving our table of seven. The drinks were streaming, the food served hot and the atmosphere was dark, clean, hip and intriguing. Will come again. Arrive early on weekends for first dibs on downstairs/upstairs bar entrance if you want to mingle with the hedonistic vibe.

The room was great and super funky. The neighbourhood is full of cool restaurants. We really enjoyed the comped champagne. I would suggest that the hotel add a blackout curtain behind the sheer curtain that closes off the bathroom from the the main room however.
