Winterlicious dinner!

My husband and I decided to try some new places this year for Winterlicious, but stay close to home at the same time. I choose the Drake after some researching, it's had good reviews on food, but also noted a laid back comfortable vibe. We were in. We went on Jan 30th for an early dinner. Every... read more

Went there for Wnterlicious dinner. Once an old hotel in a run down part of town. But now with the re gentrification it's become a trendy strip. Décor inside is dimly lit. Some old fashioned booths at one end. Has two bars, one on the 2nd floor. There's also a cool looking private room on the 2nd floor. Clienteles mostly... More

We were a group of four last evening looking to enjoy the Winterlicious dinner at The Drake. The greeting at the door was friendly and prompt, but I could see trouble brewing when I looked and the seating chart and it was obvious they were packing the "Winterlicious" guests into the back of the restaurant. The seating was ridiculously cramped,... More

Came here for the famous chicken and waffles. It was pretty good along with the blueberry scones. On the other hand, the service was not so good. We ordered before the table next to us and they got theirs before us and we still didnt get ours and the table next to us was finished. Had to ask server few... More

Tried the Chicken and Waffles. I really enjoyed the delicate balance between the cherry jam and the creme fraiche. However, the waffle needs something like maple syrup to bind everything together. The fried chicken had little pink color which made me nervous but perhaps it was from the jam? I ate it anyway and I was fine. Service was okay.... More

What can be nicer on a cold day than a fireplace with a log burning in the grate? The Drake Hotel bar and dining room has that. it also has pleasant décor, friendly servers and a curated music experience that is not intrusive yet very pleasant to experience. Sink into a banquette booth and seek comfort food. We did. The... More

We went to the drake hotel for some cocktails and wound up having a great time. There was a dj so we had an awesome time on the dance floor. The cocktails were very good and reasonably priced. I would def go back.

We were all pleasantly surprised by The Drake. We were expecting pretty good food but we all had GREAT food! We made plans last minute so it was tough to get a rez elsewhere and decided to go for location and atmosphere. The Drake definitely has all...with excellent lighting, great layout where you feel that its spacious yet warm as... More

Met my wife in Toronto for the weekend at The Drake and was absolutely perfect. We have stayed here before and will be back again as it never disappoints. We had some snacks in the bar one night and drinks before dinner, brunch, and some coffee, and all went over and above our expectations. Customer service and an eye for... More
