Hip and comfy

Had the great coffee, Benedict's and chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles wee the star. The waffles were very light and crispy and chicken flavourful.

The server was a friendly Alberta boy happy to be serving our table of seven. The drinks were streaming, the food served hot and the atmosphere was dark, clean, hip and intriguing. Will come again. Arrive early on weekends for first dibs on downstairs/upstairs bar entrance if you want to mingle with the hedonistic vibe.

The room was great and super funky. The neighbourhood is full of cool restaurants. We really enjoyed the comped champagne. I would suggest that the hotel add a blackout curtain behind the sheer curtain that closes off the bathroom from the the main room however.

I was worried I would hate The Drake. Upon first view it looks like a super hip hipster hang out. Ugh. Thankfully we went upstairs and looked at the menu. The food was quite good and the atmosphere was great.

Dave and his team did an exceptional job delivering my husbands 40th birthday party. We dined in Rm222, everything was on point. The ambiance was eclectic and classy, the level of service was exceptional, and the cuisine phenomenal. I could not be happier!! I look forward to many happy returns to the Drake.

As I was working just across the street from The Drake so I ended up having three meals there during my week long Toronto stay. I had a really nice dinner at The Lounge with the soup of the day and some tempura. My friend risotto wasn't as warm as it should be and they replaced without a problem and... More

It's been a while since I last came here but I was in Toronto for business and was staying in the hotel so ate here both with room service as well as in the restaurant. I was with 3 other business associates and we asked our server to bring out tons of different sushi platters. He brought out several types... More

Went for lunch yesterday with 3 friends, good choice of cocktails and setting very nice but food disappointing (fries cold and burnt), not great value for lunch. Was looking forward to the lunch but was disappointed in quality of food that was served to me.

Well…..once again,we're thrilled with our favourite place to hang out, The Drake Hotel in Toronto. We absolutely fell in love with the 'lobster nachos' that we had on one of our stays at the Drake. So tonight, when we wanted to go our for dinner, we decided to once again visit the Drake and have those incredible nachos. We not... More
