We were very pleased with the atmosphere and food! We started with a platter which four of us shared, and then went on to main dishes - salmon, lobster, chicken and Portuguese fish stew. From all reports, a good feed was had by all! A significant birthday was celebrated by one of us with a bottle of Portuguese white wine,... More

Adega is a Portugese restaurant in the heart of Restaurant Row on Elm Street in Toronto between Bay and Yonge, not to be confused with Bodega, on Baldwin Street just a few blocks away. On a Thursday night Adega was fairly busy at dinnertime. Service was good for our party of eight. Our server was knowledgeable and efficient, as well... More

I took my office staff to lunch and the food was excellent - wonderful trout; pasta with scallops; soup; dessert - The menu is extensive with wonderful seafood entrees and pastas. The bread was very good. This is a Portuguese restaurant with a wonderful menu. The service was also very good and polite. The restaurant is quiet, which is a... More

Attended large dinner party to celebrate a colleague's retirement at this unpretentious restaurant. The restaurant accommodated about 20 people in a private dining room and provided an excellent menu with appetizers, main courses (with choices of beef, fish, pasta), exquisite dessert, and exceptionally fine wine (choice of red or wine) all for less than $65 a person, including the wine... While on a business trip, I decided to treat myself to a nice dinner. I found Adega near my hotel, so decided to try it out. The menu had a good selection of seafood. I had the monk fish special and it was very good. The service was great, especially since I do not like eating at restaurants alone..I received... More

This quaint spot is on Elm, just north of the Eaton Centre and Dundas Square. it is a white table cloth, fine dining Portuguese restaurant. The food and service are top notch. Great wine list. the fresh fish is always excellent and i love their chourico. place is often busy at lunch with local business types. Quieter in the evenings.
