Very nice private dining room

We were a group of 12 who were very nicely managed in the downstairs private dining room. Great service, nice selection of food. Prix fixe was excellent, with squid, salmon and sorbet.

Went here for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend and overall enjoyed the experience. He had the fish special and I am so mad at myself for not ordering that it was amazing, absolutely one of the best things i've tried. I had the scallop pasta and was honestly disappointed. It was quite bland and didn't have as many scallops... More

This Portugese restaurant was recommended to us by Tanya DaSilva, the chef/coordinator for Loblaws, Kingston. We thank her for the information, as we had a terrific meal, the grilled octopus and seafood risotto. Service was phenomenal with Fernando initially, then Marco, as well as Carlos, the maitre'd. The portions were more than adequate for this lunch. My wife compared the... More

Me and my husband went to Adega on NYE and we had a great time. We ordered Octopus and salmon for main course, shrimp bisque and grilled calamari for appetizer and for desert we shared chocolate mouse. We loved every bit of it and will definetly return.

Adega is always consistent with the quality of their food and service. I keep coming back for the grilled calamari. Carlos and his team take exceptional care of their patrons. We will be back.

Adega is a small restaurant that serves dishes from Portugal and Spain. We recently visited the establishment for a Christmas gathering and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. They seem to specialize in seafood and I personally had an oven roasted sword fish steak that was served with some mixed vegetables. The steak was deboned, thick and done perfectly.... More

We ate there last Saturday on a recommendation from a friend. We had an excellent dinner. My husband had the 1/2 lobster over risotto and I had the Seafood Saffron Risotto. We shared an excellent grilled calamari to start and an apple tart for dessert. Everything was excellent. I said I was going to 'complain' to the waiter that there... More

From the moment we walked in, to the time we left, everything about dining at Adega was wonderful. The host/maitre d' took our jackets and hung them up, and gave us a great table. It was a girlfriend and I out to have some catch up time, and we picked the right place! The server was attentive, but not intense.... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
