My wife and I try to dine at Adeja every time we are in Toronto. The food is always wonderful and the service is excellent. The loctation is wonderful and the ambience is perfect. Ask for a booth!

Attended large dinner party to celebrate a colleague's retirement at this unpretentious restaurant. The restaurant accommodated about 20 people in a private dining room and provided an excellent menu with appetizers, main courses (with choices of beef, fish, pasta), exquisite dessert, and exceptionally fine wine (choice of red or wine) all for less than $65 a person, including the wine... While on a business trip, I decided to treat myself to a nice dinner. I found Adega near my hotel, so decided to try it out. The menu had a good selection of seafood. I had the monk fish special and it was very good. The service was great, especially since I do not like eating at restaurants alone..I received... More

This quaint spot is on Elm, just north of the Eaton Centre and Dundas Square. it is a white table cloth, fine dining Portuguese restaurant. The food and service are top notch. Great wine list. the fresh fish is always excellent and i love their chourico. place is often busy at lunch with local business types. Quieter in the evenings.

My wife and I visited Adega on the basis of an article we read as we sat in our VIA coach en route to Toronto. Sight unseen, we visited this place on night #2 of our visit. What a gem! Whether measured in terms of menu diversity, preparation excellence, or service of the most wonderful kind, Adega delivered. The shrimp... More

This is a very comfortable, well managed Portugese restaurant in a block of excellent dining choices on Elm Street near Yonge Street. We had lunch, and were immediately made comfortable by very competent staff. Nice marinated black olives, a variety of fresh baked bread, with olive oil as a free setting. Good half litre carafes of wine, we had an... More

I love the unusual menu and the great service. The squid appetizer is the best - but I would not recommend it to anyone who is a little bit squeamish. Also try one of their daily fish specials - you will not be disappointed.

I had the grilled squid appetizer while 3 others started with the green salad. Both were visually appealing and all confirmed the freshness and taste to be superb. The piri piri Jumbo shrimp was delicious. The Angus beef was very tasty and tender. The salmon was the best my wife has experienced in years. The final plate was grouper and... More

Having had great seafood during our Lisbon visit 2 years back we were looking forward to refreshing our memories again. Searched TA for Toronto and found Adega and loved here a lot. Great location, good service, ambiance and delicious food makes Adega a 5 stars. House wine, Portugal Red was just fine. Seasonal Green's presentation was very good. In Adega's... More

We went for an evening meal, whilst on holiday in Toronto in July, 2014. We had pan-fried chicken + vegetables / applewood-smoked chicken risotto and finished with saffron pear. The food was very high quality - we rated it as highly as the food on the cruise we had been on earlier that year. The service was also very good.
