We arrived in Toronto last night for a few days before returning to LA on Sunday and the bell hop recommended Zupa's for breakfast. I grew up in New Jersey and this place is a greasy spoon in the best possible sense. Simple food, no frills seating and nice service. I had some eggs, Canadian bacon (naturally) and toast. My... The food was excellent but the cleanliness of the diner was not good. We just had to shut our eyes and enjoy our breakfast!

Places to get a quick reasonably priced breakfast or lunch are becoming more and more difficult in Toronto's core. Zupa's is out of the way - but not really far from many places downtown. Breakfast on the weekend is a great value for a freshly prepared plate of food. Nothing fancy about the food or the decor. I am always... More

Anyplace that's frequented almost exclusively by construction workers has to be awesome and fattening. They have the best eggs benedict i've ever had.
