Good Grub

Beer and breakfast. 1/4 of price as our hotel. Good, fast & friendly. Busy with eat in and take out. Obviously a popular spot with locals.

I ate here after my stay at the hotel next door. Not the healthiest choice, but after a night out it is delicious. Great breakfast. I could care less what the place looks like. The food is good.

I stopped in at Zupa's to try a Peameal Bacon Sandwich which is unique to Toronto. Zupa's was across from the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel so it was convenient to grab a quick lunch there. Employees were friendly and offered quick service. The sandwich was tasty--I'm always willing to try foods I don't have back home.

Friendly service, low prices, and good food. Can't ask for anything more in an old style deli/diner like this spot. Try the pemeal bacon sandwich on a kaiser, so good!

Had a great breakfast here and actually got everything how I ordered it:) $17 for a full breakfast, bacon, eggs, potato and toast plus pancakes and a double order of bacon. Worth the trip!

Well, the place is old. And dirty. Really dirty. That's about all I can tell without offending anyone. If you have sentiments for old diners the place may be for you.

We arrived in Toronto last night for a few days before returning to LA on Sunday and the bell hop recommended Zupa's for breakfast. I grew up in New Jersey and this place is a greasy spoon in the best possible sense. Simple food, no frills seating and nice service. I had some eggs, Canadian bacon (naturally) and toast. My... Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
