Good entertainment but expensive

With its Yorkville location, expect to pay the price as well. The seating were set around a Teppanyaki griddle and part of the dining experience was watching food cooked right in front of you. We had Teppanyaki beef, chicken, shrimp and scallop, as well as its specialty fried rice. The food was... read more

Was recommended to us by a local Torontonian, and was the freshest, melt in your mouth sushi I have EVER had! In fact, my dining companion felt that it was the BEST sushi outside of Japan! I just liked it!

This was my second time having teppanyaki, the first time was for lunch, it was good and therefore I went again for diner this time. Our chef was Patrick and he was busy talking to the other group in our table and had no experience in talking while still manage the cooking. He did not perform much (not like other... More

Location: Basement on Bellair Set-up: More than half of the place is cooking tables while the rest is regular dining tables. Cooking Table: The biggest issue is that the food quality, for the price, is really not that stellar. For almost $400 for our group of 7, with children, at the cooking table, the food was average at best, the... More

I try to get to this place at least once or twice a year, I love Teppanyaki... Very entertaining assuming you get a chef in a good mood :)... All kinds of beef and seafood selections are cooked to perfection right in front of you, usually with some tricks and some comedy thrown in... Staff are courteous and caring... Atmosphere... More

This is a great place for sushi in the Yorkville area. We ordered several Makki, all were perfect. Our favourite was the Spicy tuna tempura with Avocado. They also had a tuna special with three types of tuna sashimi. You walk half way downstairs but that should not be an issue for most. Recommended. Prices are what you would expect.... More

Excellant Hapanesse food. Nicely served and as usual beautifully presented. Would definitely go again.

My boyfriend and I just went here on Saturday and it was awesome. The sushi was delicious. The service was awesome and the entertainment aspect while sitting at the grills added such a fun and unique element. My cheeks were sore from laughing and smiling. I can't wait to go back here.

This place is just brilliant. Firstly it is set in a really nice neighbourhood and the design matches the setting perfectly. The staff are really friendly and offer fantastic service. We visited on a Tuesday night so it wasn't really busy but there was a fair amount of people there. I would recommend you ask for a cooking table as... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
