Great steaks, some dessert questionable

Our group experienced great service, great steaks and a fine selection of wine. The meal was made less than spectacular by the chocolate torte desert, which ended up being two triangles of chocolate torte that were no higher than 1 cm off the plate!! Very strange, since other desserts such seemed... read more

Came here for Winterlicious. While the food was good - we waited for it for 40 min before we could order and our appetizer came out - then they brought our main course while we were eating our appetizers! Empty plates were on our table for at least 10-15 min after we finished. The restaurant was not even that busy.... More

Very strange, since other desserts such seemed like they were "normal" in size.

Went here with another couple, made a reservation. Service was great. I had the beet salad and the piri piri chicken. My wife got the pesto pasta. Absolutely delicious!!!

We always enjoy eating at Wildfire for special occasions because they make the evening very memorable. We have never had a bad meal or a bad experience at this fine restaurant. Just got back from a birthday dinner at the highly recommended Wildfire in North York. Parking situation was absolutely horrible but as expected for its location. Walking into the place I was pleasantly surprised. There wasn't a lot of people there so it looked like we'd have a nice quiet evening. The place was beautiful and definitely larger than I... More

I went to Wildfire for my grandmothers birthday and it wasn't good. I got steak and it was hard and not tasty at all. The appetizers were bad as well. The only thing that was not terrible was the cake, which wasn't good. The service was okay, but not great.

Thank you very much for your review. On behalf of the Wildfire Brand; we would like to apologize for the experience you had. About a week ago I had dinner with my family at this fine establishment. Aside from the slightly arrogant attitude of the hostess (asking if we had a reservation when the restaurant was practically empty), the overall experience was excellent. The server was very professional, and always attentive. The food was very tasty and well presented, and the wine menu... More

First off and most importantly, excellent food and value. Quality and amount of food provided at excellent prices. A far larger restaurant than one would assume from their street presence. The menu provided many options, more than simple steak. Only menu/food comment not positive was why they'd add corn kernels to their Caesar salad. The ambiance was comfortable, dark and... More

Staying in North End

Neighborhood Profile
North End
The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
