Food was great and authentic too, server was delightful, but communication poor

We loved our meal here, and our waiter was extremely charming. The prices are really good too. The only confusing thing was at the end we asked for the bill, and the waiter said ok but never brought it, and it was hard to catch his attention. We figured it is probably somewhere you go up to the... read more

My wife wanted to have dosa and since we were downtown I suggested we go to Gerard street (little India). She looked up to see which place offered dosa and Udupi Palace had a high rating, so we decide to go. It was very busy on the Tuesday night that we went, maybe because of the holidays. We were promptly... More

Once again a restaurant that both my wife and I can eat at. Now at first glance the decor is not going to win any awards however the amazing food more than makes up for it. Not once have we ever left the restaurant without feeling hungry. The portions may seem small but once you are done you realize just... More

Amazing food across Toronto's other restaurant serving South Indian cuisine. Authentic flavour and taste. I liked the south Indian thali. Good ambience, great service, good south indian music and flavourful food. Must visit to have dosa & filter coffee. Keep up the good work!!!

My husband and I go here usually once a week, we often take friends. The waiters are very friendly and helpful, as is the manager. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The Idli Manchurian is so good, and fairly unique I believe. Also we love the Channa Masala and the Thali. I love the Bhatura and the Dosas. It... More

Most Shocking & Terrible Experience.....I am sharing here. I went with family for Dinner and at the end while making payment...Manager came to cash counter and asked us to pay for additional charge for his ripped and old menu When I said this was not done by us and shockingly and with his crapped attitude he repeatedly asked and forced... Thank you for your feedback Mr Gokulesh Shah........ I'd like to ensure you that customer satisfaction is very important to us and I take every complaint very seriously. I have reviewed your complaint with my manager and staff. I understand that menus can be torn or damaged by children and accidents can happen, but INTENTIONALLY RIPPING Restaurant menu OLD or... Good restaurant for Sounth Indian dishes. Lots of varieties of Dosa available. Service is very good and the prices of food items are reasonable.

Decent place for limited vegetarian choices but the food definitely fell short. Not enough flavor - pretty bland. Service was on point though. They shifted the rating to a 3.

Staying in East End

Neighborhood Profile
East End
The East End is an eclectic amalgamation of areas that team up to make this district one of the most multi-faceted and alluring. Home to Toronto's LGBT community hub, Gay Village is alive and pumping day or night with friendly bars, nightclubs, and cafes – its thumb is on the pulse of excitement. For a more relaxed day, the East End has the largest collection of restored Victorian homes, and its stately streets, tree-lined and bursting at the seams with affluence, often sport farmers markets and street artists, epitomized by the effusive St. Lawrence Market. One of the most gorgeous of Toronto's neighborhoods, it also straddles Lake Ontario in an area called The Beach, where you'll find folks cycling and strolling along the sandy shorelines, getting some sun or enjoying shopping, dining, and pub options. For some fabulous food, the vivacious personalities running the restaurants in the East End's Greektown is only equaled by the fun and authenticity of the street stalls and restaurants at its expansive Indian Bazaar. 'Something for everyone' has never been so accurate.
