From the design to the decor to the menu, Tundra was conceived to evoke the image, the texture and the taste of Canada.
Now celebrating 15 delicious years, Tundra remains true to its original concept ... Canadian inspired cuisine. Under the tutelage of Toronto native, Kevin Prendergast, our culinary brigade offers a wealth of cooking techniques and styles, thanks to their multicultural and ethnically diverse backgrounds.
Inspired by fresh, locally sourced produce and protein, sustainable seafood and foraged gems from independent purveyors, our team passionately makes each dining experience unique ... Depending on the season and the ingredients.
The wine list, curated by General Manager and Sommelier Aynsley Lenkorn, is well sourced offering variety in by the glass, on tap, bottle and vintage selections. Canadian craft beer and cocktails that are both classic, yet original are always available.
Tundra is elegant and stylish, yet relaxed and welcoming with warm, excellent service and always an enchanting experience. It is conveniently located in the heart of the city at Richmond and University Avenue, within the contemporary Hilton Toronto hotel.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with well tailored menus for all dining experiences from power breakfasts to pre-theatre prix fixe menus to corporate, casual or formal events.

Great Winterlicious Menu & Service

The Winterlicious menu for Tundra was very nice. The sea scallops appetizers were cooked beautifully and our younger children took advantage of the kids menu. This restaurant has a nice evening atmosphere, warm classy interior, and is right downtown. We were treating ourselves out for Winterlicious, and tried their $45 prix fixe menu, and thoroughly enjoyed the food. I personally had the scallops, the port steak and the chocolate terrine, all of which were cooked excellently and had enough served with the main piece of... More

We stayed at the Hilton last Friday and ended up at the lobby bar both before and after the Leafs game. We met a great group of Blackhawks fans from Chicago and had a hoot. The service staff did an amazing job handling this unruly group of sports enthusiasts. They ensured we had food, drinks and great service. I'm shocked... More

This has become one of my go-to spots for business lunches and dinners. I appreciate the regionally sourced ingredients and wines, the consistently good quality of good, perfect serving sizes and the quiet ambience that is conducive to really being to visit or talk over a meal. Service is good though occasionally slow or a little inattentive. But all in... More

We just stopped in for a glass of wine and a snack before going to a 5:30 show. This should have been simple, but wasn't. We ordered a cheese assortment platter to share. It came with small pieces of cheese and a couple of crackers. One spreading knife for two people. Very slowly. The cheese itself was OK. I asked... More

Have only eaten here for breakfast. Service was excellent day after day. The breakfast buffet was great, and offered some unique items. Kids were able to find some yummy things everyday. Would recommend for breakfast, as part of your stay at the Hilton. Not sure I would eat here otherwise.

My fiance and I recently stayed in the Hilton (probably our favorite hotel in Toronto). We decided to try tundra. After our appetizers she was brought the wrong main. The name isn't exactly inspiring is it? My experience matched its name but I was glad that there was almost nobody there and nobody hurried us. The food lacked inspiration but was perfectly adequate. Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
