Using only the freshest ingredients Sotto Sotto offers a considerable menu of simple classics and traditional creations. To start there is an abundance of wonderful salads and antipasti. Pastas are available as a second or main course dish. Main courses feature veal, beef, seafood and poultry and there are also "risotto for two" options. We also serve delicious gelati and desserts including homemade tiramisu made in the time honoured traditional style of the Rocca family.

If you like seeing pictures of celebrities on the wall and not being able to see your food in a dark dingy cavern you will love it here. There is nothing new or nothing that standouts here regular standard Italian joint.

I hate to be the one to inform you, that both Sotto Sotto and the upstairs one Spuntini, in Toronto have burned down during the Christmas day holiday season 2014 in Toronto. People were in awe to see the flames that ruin these two established restaurants. We hope they reopen, someday. They were much enjoyed by many, celebrities and others.

I was so sad to hear about the news of Sotto Sotto! This was hands down the best Italian restaurant I have been to. The staff were so helpful and made amazing suggestions for vegetarian items! The cocktails were killer!

Sad day! Today, on the Christmas day, the restaurant burns down, as people witness one of world's best restaurants disappear in flames and smoke.

I can't end the year without talking about my absolute favorite restaurant.. What can I say about consistently great service with impeccable food. Christina takes your coat, Vince welcomes you, you get served by the friendliest nicest wait staff. Michael, Lilliana, Enzo etc.. All have their own qualities. The wine cellar is divine, now the food Mama makes the best... More

While I probably wouldn't qualify as a 'regular' at this restaurant, I live near by and go there a few times a year, the most recent of which was last week. My sister and I went there for dinner - knowing how busy it is, we made a reservation - unfortunately we showed up 30 minutes late - and the... More

The restaurant was recommended to us as one of Toronto's great restaurants! We booked for my birthday hoping to have a great date night! We arrived at 8.15pm and by 9pm we had been servied both starters and entres! The food tasted very basic and I could have made better food at home. The atmosphere was nothing great but the... More

I ordered the chef's seafood special. The tuna could not have been more than 1.5 ounces and was overcooked despite the waiters comment and suggestion to have it seared which I of course requested. It was accompanied by one shrimp and one scallop (both small/medium sized ). Appetizer octopus was good but the carpaccio was really very average. Service was... More

Hard to get a reservation in this small but quaint old style Italian bistro but popped in on the off chance and was sat immediately. Staff charming and friendly and made me something that wasn't on menu. You pay for the quality but well worth it

Pricey. Very pricey. But extremely delicious. Start with one of their antipasti or smaller pasta dishes. Then move one to one of their seafood dishes--their specialty. We spent $200 (including one drink a piece) for 2.
