Made a reservation and showed up on time with two colleagues. We are all professionals. While waiting at the tight space out front, a well-to-do fellow and his date passed our party, and a family with a small child just in front of us, stared us in the eyes, and made the comment to the manager/owner (who knows) "it must... I want to thank you for your comments, both positive and negative. I always appreciate & encourage customer feedback, as it allows me to improve in areas we may be lacking in from time to time. In my 22 years in business I have experienced a few hiccups during service, albeit it is quiet normal in the service industry, I... More

Visited the restaurant as a special family event. Found the staff nice and helpful but the restaurant itself is nothing special. Cesar salad was dry and uninspired. Appetizer tray of grilled veggies and shrimp was good but pricey for the taste it provided.Grilled sardines were dry and overcooked.. Pasta was decent but not particularly flavourful. The scallops were the only... More

One of the best. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Everything, every course, every detail, still the same as it was 6 months ago, a year ago, and even 5 years ago. Fresh delicious ingredients, and the most tasty seafood you'd ever had. It's worth the visit.

I go to sotto at least once a week. Sometimes, every day. The food is worth the price and the waiters are probably the friendliest is Toronto!

Took my boyfriend to sotto sotto for his birthday dinner. It's a perfect date spot. Love the intimate atmosphere! Our server was very helpful and accommodating. The food was very good too. Overall a great experience! Will definitely go back

I confess to having been a bit sceptical when family members suggested the venerable Sotto Sotto for dinner on a recent visit to TO. In a city as bursting with interesting new dining options as Hogtown, why bother with somewhere so...stale? Happy to say I regret my reluctance. This is still a fantastic place to go for simply prepared Italian... More

I am not quite sure why this cramped basement restaurant gleans such good reviews, except that the quality of everything is excellent. $300 for two, with a couple of bottles of wine. Strong emphasis on Italian wine. Lovely pasta to start, ( Parpadelle), followed by a luscious sole and then a veal. Plenty of people queuing to take our place... More

Went to this downtown icon mid-week. It has a bit of a reputation for being snooty...overpriced. In a word...OUTSTANDING Yes...the room was filled with young over anxious downtowners trying to impress..who cares. The food was amazing...the wait staff and atmosphere to match.. This was a great meal.
