Description: Using only the freshest ingredients Sotto Sotto offers a considerable menu...
Using only the freshest ingredients Sotto Sotto offers a considerable menu of simple classics and traditional creations. To start there is an abundance of wonderful salads and antipasti. Pastas are available as a second or main course dish. Main courses feature veal, beef, seafood and poultry and there are also "risotto for two" options. We also serve delicious gelati and desserts including homemade tiramisu made in the time honoured traditional style of the Rocca family.

I have been here 4 other times over 2 years, after popping in unexpectedly this time without a reservation, the host was fantastic about finding us a table, and our waiter was very nice. The food was excellent as always, and the dessert was amazing. Very extensive wine list too... Nice to have an Italian place that also has a... More

I was so disappointed with my experience. I had been to Sotto Sotto years ago and enjoyed the wonderful dishes. So i was looking forward to experiencing it again after its reopening. It should have been renamed "Alice Fazoolis". The food was horrible. The main fish entree was the size of a large sardine, the pasta dish with bolognese was... More

Judging from the wide range of ratings and reviews, it seems Sotto Sotto can be a hit and miss visit. If that is the case, we must be the luckiest people around. My friends and I, all from the West Coast, visit Sotto Sotto every time we are in Toronto. Every time, we get great food. Wine selection is also... More

Just wrapped up a team celebration at Sotto Sotto. The extensive menu and the quality of dishes we selected met, if not, exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately, our pretentious server (Massimo) was the only negative aspect of the evening.

On the western edge of Yorkville, a seasoned Italian restaurant that has been attracting celebrities (mainly around the film festival) and mortals for decades. Many choices (pasta, seafood, meats), good desert menu, good wine list. The food is solid without being incredibly memorable. Service is very warm and friendly. Prices are pretty steep but not outrageous. Child-friendly despite the generally... More

Average food with above average prices. Good atmosphere and extensive wine list. Service was horrible. Took 3 hours to have full meal. Totally ridiculous.

Jana our server made our evening. I would go as far to say " Best server in Toronto". Great advice about the food and wine . No pretence. She advised us about our choices and we were not disappointed. An added bonus was great music. The only wrinkle was the hostess who seemed to be a little overwhelmed.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
