The whole thing

Really nice people who make it their business to be super friendly and give Italian homely hospitality and succeed! The foods fulsome and appetizing with good portion sizes ( no big plates with lots of sauce and little food)! Varied menu and lovely setting with small garden area for outside... read more

If you are going out with friends or business people, Fieramosca should be numero uno on your list. The food is great, the waitstaff are very friendly, efficient and attentive. The wine list is massive and the prices are reasonable. It has been my experience that they go out of their way to vary dishes based on personal requests. We... More

A restaurant never knows who is going to sit down, eat and then write a review. My experience might have been better if they did. I chose this place to eat because it was close and highly rated. It was also very busy - generally a good sign. I often talk about front of kitchen staff being as important to... More

I have had many meals here, the specials are always interesting and keep you hoping for a return!... The Spaghetti Carbonara is amazing, and the Caprese Salad is a great starter... Extensive selection of wines, and the staff are very friendly and make great suggestions... I do find however on a windy day (mid-summer) that the trees in the back... More

I may have had expectations that were too high, but as much as I thought the atmosphere and service were excellent, the food fell short, sadly. But if you want a fun meal (business or with friends) and impeccable and friendly service, be sure to try Fieramosca. I'll have to make a point of going back during my next visit... More

I had no real expectations of this restaurant so was blown away .Not only was the food excellent but the service, okay Edwin, was spectacular. Ambiance outside, either first or second balcony lovely. For those who prefer a/c inside is great. Wine list is good and varied. Gnocchi and egg plant parmigiana outstanding. I speak of the truffle gnocchi, mmmmmmmm.

Dined here regularly from 1996-2000 and then occasionally when we visit in summer for the Rogers Canadian tennis open. We always enjoyed the meals and the bantering with the staff that occurs with regulars of the establishment. The restaurant is housed in an old Victorian and they have a wonderful open air dining area in the rear which is great... More

Our family was staying at the Intercontinental Yorkville and found this gem nearby for take-out. We ordered the special.... orecchiette with sun dried tomatoes and rapini. Delicious. One young family member ordered the pizza and it had a strong taste of garlic. Would still recommend this restaurant in a quiet section of Yorkville.

We attended Fieramosca for a ladies night out and birthday celebration. An evening of fine food, exceptional wine, and joyous atmosphere with attentive service by Ravi whose recommendations were excellent! If you haven't experienced Trattoria Fieramosca you are missing one of the true culinary jems in Toronto!!

Monday night and a packed house. I like the interior, an old Victorian house, cozy anf comfortable although a tad too warm for a summer evening. Better bet is the back patio. Friendly greeting by the owner. Our drink order was taken quickly and an amuse bouche arrived. Nice start. However, we were ignored, as were mostly everyone else on... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
