Ate at this restaurant recently with 2 friends. As has been stated in several posts, food was excellent, perfectly prepared and served. The wait staff we had were courteous, competent, and professional. From the friendly greeting at the door as you enter, the warm ambiance of a "classic" restaurant setting, to your exit, first class all the way. Yes, the... More

Well, this was definitely a surprise! We were walking around looking for a "steak place" when we stumbled upon Tom Jones Steak House. The server was very attentive and things were addressed before we even had to ask. His recommendation of steak over ribs was appreciated. The ambience was perfect and the food was fantastic! The only downside was the... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and we were not disappointed. Tom Jones Steak House is an traditional steak house. We both had filets that could be cut with a fork. Really - people always say that but it is true. We have eaten at some of the best steak houses in New York & Chicago and this tops... More

In some respects Tom Jones is a Toronto institution. It has been in business for close to 50 years in an iconic building tucked in behind a parking lot beside the King Edward Hotel. Sadly, the restaurant has failed to keep up with the times. The decor is stuffy and exceedingly formal, the staff somewhat indifferent as they serve you... More

I won a $150 credit for dinner at the Tom Jones Steak House in TO at an auction. First, it's good the TJSH participates in these charity events; and second, our $150 coupon turned out to be a pretty good value versus the meal we ordered... About the place, TJSH is a "classic TO steakhouse" which according to its own... More

This is an old school, brandy snifter, career waiter kind of place and we certainly can't afford to do it very often, but it was like going back in time. We had the Ceasar Salad and Chateaubriand for two, which were both prepared table side. The steak looked amazing but, apparently not good enough, as our waiter informed us that... More

Should have read the reviews before going to this place!! At best, the steaks were mediocre. I have had better at a Denny's!! (seriously) It looked good on the plate, but was grissly and tough. The vegetables were cold, the waiter was absent and the prices absolutely outrageous for what we got. When we expressed concern, the waiter basically shrugged... More

Stayed at the nearby King Edward Hotel and went here, dropped 220 for 2 steaks with rice and 2 glasses of wine . The wine we had is 17 dollars in stores they sell it for 15 a glass or 80 a bottle. Would never go back here again. Went there 615 pm on Sunday night and we were the... More

My wife took me to the Tom Jones Steak House this evening for my birthday. She mentioned her boss highly recommended this restaurant, however, my wife had read mixed reviews. The ambience reminded me of an older and smaller version of Harbor Sixty. Since I've not heard anything in regards to Tom Jones Steak House prior to my wife mentioning... More

This is a traditional steak house in an odd building standing in a parking lot not far from the St. Lawrence Market and right across the street from the Omni King Edward Hotel. The service is excellent as is the food. The wine list is compelling. But the prices are out of this world! If you want to truly enjoy... More
