I have been going to deli's since I was a kid. Ive been to the now closed Wolfies to the old school Pancers. The new yorker has sub par smoked meat and terrible service. We ordered 2 smoked meat sandwiches with fries and slaw. Our server just brought the sandwich with a pickle. My son had the hot dog and... More

Great food, good price. A lot of different foods too try on their menu. Definitely try their lemonade.

We always eat here when visiting family in the area. It's a great place for a quick bite or a full meal and is very kid friendly. The food is homemade and everything I've had from the matzo ball soup to the borscht to the pastrami has been delicious. They also serve breakfast all day which is a plus. Huge... More

NYD offers a great range of deli favourites. All are served quickly, hot and fresh. Prices are good as well. This is not a fancy place by any strethc - and does not pretend to be - just good food.

This place is definitely an institution in Toronto. The corn beef and hash alone will make you come back. I have only been for breakfast and always leave satisfied. There is a lot to choose from the menu and you can tell the clientele are regulars as they don't even look at the menu. Check out this Deli for sure.

I've been to the New Yorker many times over the last 6 months with various people an no one has ever had a bad meal. There is a large variety and the food is served fresh and fast. The servers however aren't all that friendly and it sometimes becomes a game to see if you can make them smile!

The New Yorker Deli has the potential to be pretty good. However, the service and decor has so poor that it effected the experience here. The value also is not the best. For instance, the server gives us two pepsi's in cans that they charged $2.50 a piece for and then tells us she will be right back with glasses.... More

When you go to a real deli you have to get the smoked meat. Or pastrami. Or corned beef. So I'm sorry, but I don't have a good view of anything else on the menu. But I've had is fantastic. Simple as that.

Went in after a crazy workout @goodlifefitness. Had the eggs and corned beef. Happily swapped out the toast and potatoes for an extra egg and some coleslaw. The server was pleasant and helpful. The coffee was decent and they have 18% cream, not that pansy half and half crap. The meat looked awesome from my vantage even though it is... More
