As the saying goes if you can't say anything good don't say anything at all. I read the reviews and knowing it was not the best restaurant in town I thought it would be nice to give it a try considering the prices were affordable but then again you get what you pay for. I realize now the favourable comments... More

We went there last Sunday, June 15th. They seemed understaffed taking into consideration the world cup and the ongoing festival. Food – nothing special, absolutely no fantasy and creativity. Salad with tomatoes and mozzarella was really just tomatoes (not the best ones) and mozzarella. No spices offered no olives on a side. If you charge $13 for something that costs... More

We visited this straightforward-looking Italian restaurant for lunch. It's all quite unassuming and the menu is, well, standard really. But the pizzas were terrific - apparently they have a proper wood-burning pizza oven and it shows. Frankly the best pizzas we've had outside Italy. No idea what the rest of their food is like but it's worth going if you... More

I visited this restaurant a few times during stopovers in Toronto. Always a great experience of good food and wine. I recently relocated to Toronto and visited Standard again last night. The hostess, Sonya, is a wonderful addition. She was so polite, courteous and genuine, we felt as welcome as if it were home. The pollo parmigiana with veg. was... More

Grilled Chicken & honey roasted Walnuts on Garden Salad. Healthy choice for my gluten free diet. Dropped in for quick lunch. Weather is great so patio & windows wide open. Looks like they updated there patio on the College Street side. Definately a favourite spot for me when I'm in town. FYI. They have free Parking on the side street... More

At the insistence of friends we went for Saturday night dinner. The restaurant was busy and although it was a cool evening the patio was open with heaters. Atmosphere *** nothing special; Service **** our waitress was pleasant and efficient; Wine * choices ranged from Yellow Tail to bland poor quality Italian wines; Food ** not bad but not good... More

Tonight I want to this restaurant with my family. This is the worst Italian dining experience I have ever had. We started with lamb skewers and fried calamari. Here is the breakdown, the calamari was basically per bagged supermarket quality - so bland and not even hot. The lamb skewers I am also certain were from some supermarket again. No... More

Food was just average (ie; steak was over cooked and dry, vegies on my entrée cold). A couple of us had just water. glasses were NEVER refilled, interesting b/c there were many servers who milled about the area were dining. Wouldn't recommend.

Amazing food and drinks as always!. My buddies & I had a great time as always & a big thank to the gorgeous Monica working the front, not only a beauty to look at while sitting at the patio true sweetheart , took care of us after spilling drinks & needing more chairs while other staff was busy.

Thought I was back in Florence, the pizza was so good!! If you are looking for authentic Italian pizza but can't afford to fly to Italy, then look no further. This place is as authentic as you will find in Toronto.
