Great food, service and ambience

Loved the kitschy décor! We did sit indoors although the patio looked wonderful. Our waiter was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu items. We have been to New Orleans and the food here was comparable. We started with the Gumbo and Hushpuppies, went on to Jambalaya, a pasta dish and also... read more

We have been to New Orleans and the food here was comparable. We started with the Gumbo and Hushpuppies, went on to Jambalaya, a pasta dish and also blackened salmon. Second time, first time was Winterlicious years ago. Turns out my companion had had a birthday party 20 years ago there, and its the same owner.. Great vibe, kitsch decor, we sat on the patio. Maitre d/host very attentive and aware of our time restraints (we had tix for HotDocs which is an easy walk from there). Everything was good,... More

Wonderful Victorian house with interesting decor (beautiful accordions hanging from the walls). Great New Orleans food and the real stuff the owner learned from 30 years of trips to New Orleans. Menu has a wide array of choices great appetizers had picante shrimp and Hush puppies. They have wonderful bourbon sours too!

This one my favourites, I go at least twice a year for past 15 years only dissatisfied once. The blackened chicken livers are worth the visit alone. Patio is great in the summer and waitstaff both knowledgable and courteous. Reservation are recommended for after 8

Going out for meal is normally about choosing what kind of food to have. With food allergies it becomes a totally different experience. Having recently relocated to the Annex, we are trying the local places. Many reviews of Southern Accent have commented on the decor - so I won't do that, instead let me describe the level of service. My... More

Based on the reviews, we expected big things from this restaurant. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a let-down. Although the atmosphere was funky and fun, and the service was good, the food was mediocre at best. We were expecting something special, but my partner and I were both disappointed in our appetizers and mains--all dishes we could have done... More

The restaurant came highly recommended and the food almost hit the spot. The restaurant recreates a New Orleans establishment with kitsch hanging everywhere and lots of smallish rooms over two stories. There is a fixed price menu at $30 which is moderately good value. A la carte items include all the standbys such as blackened chicken livers and jumbo and... More

Great food, great atmosphere, great time!! We went to celebrate my sisters birthday and what a celebration it was. They gave us one of the upstairs rooms and the decor set a great mood for the evening. The food was fabulous & the cocktail selection was very impressive and full of alot of new orleans favourites. Service was great even... More

Located just off Bloor W and close to Bathurst subway, this converted house is full of lots of nooks and cranny's that makes for an interesting place to eat. The artworks are psyche related and you can even have a reading while you're there! The staff are friendly and very customer focused which makes the experience an enjoyable one. The... More
