The restaurant came highly recommended and the food almost hit the spot. The restaurant recreates a New Orleans establishment with kitsch hanging everywhere and lots of smallish rooms over two stories. There is a fixed price menu at $30 which is moderately good value. A la carte items include... read more

Based on the reviews, we expected big things from this restaurant. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a let-down. Although the atmosphere was funky and fun, and the service was good, the food was mediocre at best. We were expecting something special, but my partner and I were both disappointed in our appetizers and mains--all dishes we could have done... More

Great food, great atmosphere, great time!! We went to celebrate my sisters birthday and what a celebration it was. They gave us one of the upstairs rooms and the decor set a great mood for the evening. The food was fabulous & the cocktail selection was very impressive and full of alot of new orleans favourites. Service was great even... More

Located just off Bloor W and close to Bathurst subway, this converted house is full of lots of nooks and cranny's that makes for an interesting place to eat. The artworks are psyche related and you can even have a reading while you're there! The staff are friendly and very customer focused which makes the experience an enjoyable one. The... More

Best server award goes to Wendy!!!! Thanks a ton girl you rock. Booked this restaurant for a party of six. Wendy took us on a fabulous dining experience! She explained everything on the menus both drink and food. We went to town. We spent over 2 hours eating and drinking and laughing up a storm Food was so amazing and... More

Our reservation was for 5:45 on a Saturday evening. We were seated immediately. The lighting was low. There were kitchy Mardi Gras decorations all over the place, which made it somewhat charming. The restaurant occupies an old house. And we noticed that appetizers were half-price before 6:30 PM...everyday. We decided to try several appetizers. Went with hush puppies (deep-fried corn... More

They greet you like a friend and serve the best food possible in a quirky, comfortable and occasionally strange setting that sings of the founders love of the ideal south. It's not for everyone, but if you want to feel treasured and be well fed with options for all (lo, for the carnivore and the vegan shall dine together, and... More

This was our second visit to the restaurant. We arrived an hour early for our reservation because the movie ended sooner than expected. That was no problem and we were escorted to a tented table for two on the upper level. There was a mardi gras price fixe special. We enjoyed the St. Peter Street fish and shrimp etouffee. I... More

This place is absolutely outstanding. A few friends of mine took me here when I was visiting the city for a few days, and I wasn't disappointed. We came early, so they were doing half price appetizers at the time. So we figured we would get a bunch of appetizers to share amongst us and get a few rounds of... More

We just love Southern Accent and have been here many times. The food is fantastic! Hush puppies and crab cakes for starters, catfish and blackened chicken for entrees, and last but not least the gigantic sized Hurricanes they serve up!! SIMPLY AMAZING! Warm, friendly and knowledgeable staff and funky, cool decor and setting.
