I love the food the atmosphere and the staff! I almost don't want too many people to get to hear about it! Its that good. The specials are always delicious, I've never had anything that disappointed.

I was very excited to finally get to eat at Sauvignon in The Beach in Toronto. It's been open for so long and yet I was only getting to it (in the neighbourhood where I grew up) years after it opened. I was treating a friend to a birthday dinner and wanted to go somewhere we would enjoy the food... More

There seem to be a number of issues, the most prevalent was that it is trying to be everything. Although it bears a french name, the food is a cultural mix. The duck confit is a greasy mess. The cocktails are very good and the desserts are lacking. I found the food prep a little careless when it comes to... More

To cap off a three day wedding weekend in Toronto, my brother (the groom's father) took a bunch of us to dinner at the Sauvignon, a small bistro in his neighbourhood. The eighteen of us were seated at one long table in a private room off the main dining room and left in the capable hands of the charming Mabel.... More

This has always been a reliable neighborhood fixture. Cozy French bistro atmosphere, a little louder than I would like for conversation. $157.85 shared appetizer, 2 entrees, wine and shared dessert. Good mussels although a bit gritty which shouldn't happen at this caliber of bistro, perhaps someone had an off night in the kitchen when the mussels were cleaned - the... More

I adore this little bistro. The owner's and servers are wonderful. We live in the Beaches and frequent Sauvignon Bistro often. The Orecchiette is by far their best dish. The portion is large which allows me to take it home and finish it up the next day. It's even tastier the following day. My husband usually orders something different every... More

Been here a few times, great food but be prepared they have fixed menus they change all the time according to season. The price is ok not great. Nice atmosphere for a romantic dinner or get together with another couple.

We love this restaurant ... great food, relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a holiday party for 12 or more, or casual friday night dinner with the kids. It is a real bonus for the Beach area!

I love the atmosphere in this small space in the Beach. When the restaurant opened many years ago I found the food was awesome and consistent. Of late its been at hit and miss. The service is always great and my friends love this restaurant...so much so its their go-to place for date night. Defiantely worth a visit if you... More
