A group of 10 of us went to Sauvignon to celebrate a Birthday. We were greatly impressed with how well our group was handled by the staff. They were very attentive. Everyone ordered apps, mains and desert. Each course arrived for all of our party at the same time. The food hear is fabulous. Perfect sized portions and the flavors... More

This is our go to restaurant in our area. We have gone to other high end restaurants and then always compare them to our meals at our local haunt. They have just extended their outside sitting which we have yet to experience. We have tried everything on the menu - and more than a few of their weekend specials. We... More

I took a client here for dinner and we both enjoyed. The service was excellent, as was the food we ordered. We both had scallops and linguine...great! I don't appreciate mushrooms so they were kind enough to substitute veggies. I don't know what kind of veggies (part of the sauce), but whatever they were, they were tasty. Nice neighbourhood restaurant... More

There are milestone restaurants (big anniversary, graduate from university, etc) that we go to every other year, and there are kilometer stone restaurants (finished a brute of a report) that we can go to twice a year. I visit Sauvignon twice a year, and my guess is most people there are there to give themselves some form of well-deserved reward.... More

We were looking for a restaurant that was convenient to an address on The Boardwalk and found it it at the end of the street on Queen in the Beaches. The food was delicious. The mushroom pate with pine nuts was so very good. The Caesar salad was very good and we loved the toasted Parmesan which was a part... More

I love the food the atmosphere and the staff! I almost don't want too many people to get to hear about it! Its that good. The specials are always delicious, I've never had anything that disappointed.

I was very excited to finally get to eat at Sauvignon in The Beach in Toronto. It's been open for so long and yet I was only getting to it (in the neighbourhood where I grew up) years after it opened. I was treating a friend to a birthday dinner and wanted to go somewhere we would enjoy the food... More

There seem to be a number of issues, the most prevalent was that it is trying to be everything. Although it bears a french name, the food is a cultural mix. The duck confit is a greasy mess. The cocktails are very good and the desserts are lacking. I found the food prep a little careless when it comes to... More

To cap off a three day wedding weekend in Toronto, my brother (the groom's father) took a bunch of us to dinner at the Sauvignon, a small bistro in his neighbourhood. The eighteen of us were seated at one long table in a private room off the main dining room and left in the capable hands of the charming Mabel.... More

This has always been a reliable neighborhood fixture. Cozy French bistro atmosphere, a little louder than I would like for conversation. $157.85 shared appetizer, 2 entrees, wine and shared dessert. Good mussels although a bit gritty which shouldn't happen at this caliber of bistro, perhaps someone had an off night in the kitchen when the mussels were cleaned - the... More
