We used a Groupon for dinner

They have a special Groupon menu that was fine. Very nice service. It's just not great. Very small portions, although the quality good, same dish but, what a difference in plating and portion. Other groupons offer wine, not here. This resturant used to be one of Toronto's Best, too bad not... read more

We came here recently with a Groupon deal. I had previously been here for Summerlicious. My friends and I weren't impressed. To be honest, I don't really remember much of that dinner. Goes to show how lackluster it was. This time around, it was a much better experience. The hostess originally sat us right by the door which we weren't... More

For the reputation I read from the review, this is just a so so restaurant. The service was not up to par. Waiter does not even offer fresh pepper. As if something was occupying his mind all night. It was not even busy hour. Except for dessert the meal is descent. At best the service was luke warm. Perhaps because... More

We visited on a Sunday using a Groupon offer and we were delighted by the service (very friendly and personable, menu specific for the offer with and large variety of choices) & the quality of the food. While we had better beef tartare, the potato soup, the bison tenderloin, the halibut and the chocolate mousse were excellent. Wine is pricey,... More

Our party of six friends made a return visit to Sassafraz because two of us had not been able to make the Summerlicious date last year. We were warned that there was only a two hour table time from 6.30 - 8.30 pm, but in the event we were not rushed or hurried out and we stayed longer than that.... More

I went here with my friend for dinner during winterlicious, all of the food was amazing! I cannot fault one bit of it, it was delicious. Compliments to the chef, keep doing what you are doing, I definitely will return for another occasion as soon as possible. The service was very friendly, it was a little slow to initially place... I visited for Winterlicious 2015 during early lunch time. My favourite part of my visit is the Beef cheek... t was cooked perfectly, juicy, and absolutely melting! I enjoyed their house cured salmon, as well, the colour was beautiful and I really liked it with the golden beets. There were a few bites that I could taste/smell something that did... More
