Good Tourist Trap

Really liked the food - the staff were knowledgeable about ingredients. Felt it was overpriced for the quality and quantity offered. It's really not that up-scale, but I guess when you have become popular because Hollywood stars eat there, you really don't care about locals. I would definately... read more

Never a disappointment for a nice weekend brunch/ Sunday champagne brunch. Reserve a table in advance to be on the safe side. Highly recommended!

I would definately recommend this restaurant, but be prepared for an over-priced meal.

What a lovely little restaurant in the centre of Toronto with a small outside section but a light and airy interior with glass ceiling at the back making it as good as outside without the traffic. Choice for brunch is extensive, I had the 'Works' and my wife had the Eggs Benedict. I can't remember what my daughter had but... More

Hadn't been here in years so we popped in for dinner this week. Te patio was crammed so we ate in the dinning room which was near and tidy but looking a little old (could use new tables and some touching up). Our waiter was ok (his service picked up as meal went on but for the first little while... More

My husband and I had lunch here today. This is an adorable little bistro and the food and service were excellent. The bread was wonderful, so much so we asked for more! I had an arugula salad with grapefruit and cumin cashews. It was amazing. The peppery taste of the arugula and the cumin were a good mix. My husband... More

Fantastic service excellent food. My wife and I went there for lunch, last month. We got served with a smile and somebody that cared about her job. The bar man made us a cappuccino never tasted so good, the foam was so smooth and thick. That is a way to get your clients back again and again. Soren from Bermuda.

Love the french/canadian inspired food here, great cuisine and menu choices, the roasted chicken, as well as the steak is excellent. The decor in the restaurant is lovely being all white, with the right amount of lighting, as well as the patio on cumberland st in the warmer weather, the pianist they have in the weekend evenings is also a... Given the option to dine outdoors or inside we chose inside and sat on loveseats around a table. The first thing that I noticed was that the couches were heavily stained with food and there were bits of salad on the floor at my feet. There is a reason we don't eat in our living room at home! The waiter... More

Came here for a quiet lunch and were okay with the food. I had the burger and my fiancé had the lobster bites. Both were okay but because we are in our 20s and weren't wearing designer clothes we were judged and treated rudely. Life's too short to care too much and there are plenty of other great places to... Visited Sassafraz last night for dinner. The menu seems to have a variety of interesting selections that can satisfy all diets, even vegetarians. The service was excellent and attentive, the decor and ambiance, sublime. The food was hit or miss. The coconut beet soup was just bland. No taste. I only took two spoonfuls. The buffalo mozzarella salad was quite... More
