Appetizer ordered the Tom Yum Shrimp Soup, not much taste as it was not sour and spicy enough at all, though it had four shrimps I felt like the shrimp was not cooked in the soup so didn't have much taste to it. Entree had the Penang Curry chicken rice and Pad Thai both which was very tasty with the... more

Salad King is a Toronto icon and is the best thai food in the city. The price is a bonus. My fave is the fried rice, the pad thai and the kari noodles. Nice and spicy as well! You can pick your spice meter and that`s what makes it. I love this place and am craving it as I write... more

Thousands of Torontonians remember Salad King fondly from the days when it was a friendly mom-and-pop hole in the wall serving cheap and delicious curries and Pad Thai. For years, I was among them, but now I have to acknowledge what many others have noted over the past few years: expansion has not been good for this place. It's more... more

We ate their often until last night. Water was spilt all over my boyfriend's seating and bag. The server did not apologize but continued to serve the remaining dishes. I ordered the seafood fried rice. The dish has two mussels in half shelves but one of them was broken. The remaiing piece of the broken shell was still in the... more

Score: 11/20. Highly popular Thai food for those who have no idea what Thai food is supposed to be ie. dramatically toned down flavours and close to tasteless curries. At least there's no ketchup in the pad thai! Cheap, fun and lively atmosphere makes up for it. more

I love this place! I have eaten here more times than any other restaurant in Toronto. The food is excellent and inexpensive, service is excellent and very quick. The one thing about this restaurant is to not expect to have a nice quiet meal - it is cafeteria style and you will likely be sitting beside people you do not... more

The Thai Food at Salad King is fantastic! Very flavourful, and tailored to your level of spice preference! This place is located right outside Ryerson University and is usually packed with University students. The downsides of this restaurant are the crowds, making it hard to get a decent seat. As a result of this place being always packed, the staff... more
