From the moment we walked in we had a warm greeting. Our waitress was awesome, good suggestions and very knowledgable. The food was delicious with good prices and serving sizes. We would absolutely recommend this place to others!

Upon entering, it is very casual and has an east coast feel. Our waiter brought over very disappointing bread which was cold slices of multigrain. The oysters were fresh... More

Fun restaurant with a casual appearance and excellent service. Selection of oysters is second to none. Not only that but the waitress was knowledgeable, helpful and fun. The main courses had a wide variety of choice. We shared the snapper between two people and really it was enough for three. Not sure how we fit it in but the shared... More

Returned to Rodney's last evening, this time with clients looking for an 'experience' and Rodney's didn't disappoint!! Oysters were fresh and awesome as usual, well presented, couple with great service and some excellent feature wines the evening was memorable for all the right reasons. Scallop ceviche was nicely presented and flavours were well balanced. Been to Rodney's probably ten times... More

Krissy, Very sorry to hear things were unsatisfying. First time here, I've heard so much about this place over the years I just had to try it. I was not disappointed at all. From the apps to the main course which of course was Oysters... The freshest most flavourful seafood I've had in a long time. We told our server Woody it was our first time here. He... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
