Relaxed atmosphere, solid staff, awesome oysters

My partner and I ate at Rodney's last week, and we had a great time. The waiter was knowledgable but not pushy, the food was good (the portions look smallish at first, but are very tasty and just the right amount in the end) and while it was a bit more expensive than other dinners I've had... read more

Our trip to Rodney's was not what we expected thinking it was a little more fine dining. If you are looking for a straight forward seafood place and don't want Reed Lobster than Rodney's will be perfect for you . The oyster selection is excellent but besides that a very limited menu. The ambiance is loud and the floor was... More

We were a being a little cautious about ordering the fresh oysters, and were overwhelmed by the choices, as it had been about 30 years since we last had them and can't say the experience was all that memorable! We were game to give them another try, but didn't know where to start, The owner came over to our table... More

For what it is, it's good. Not elegant, in the basement,no tablecloths, but still evokes the feeling of a dock side eatery. The reservation was waiting for our group of 6 plus toddler. A baby seat was no problem. The service was efficient and attentive. The helpful waiter chose us a sampler of oysters. Tuna tartar, clam chowder and slapjack chowder... More

My wife and I enjoyed dinner at Rodney's last night. They have a wide variety of oysters to chose from and you can mix and match to your hearts content. We split a dozen oysters and then moved onto the main coarse. A live crab and lobster were brought to our table for our approval and 20 minutes later we... More

I am very lucky that I get to go to some of the most amazing culinary places to eat and drink! Toronto is getting known and respected worldwide for some of its culinary legends and landmarks with so much talent now! If you like or love oysters or are a virgin(in the Oyster sense) well this is the place you... More

I went in a group of 7 people. Because we were greater than 6 there was a 20% added gratuity. We didn't know this until the very end (no one told us) and when we did find out we realized it was probably the reason why our waitress was completely useless throughout our entire dinner. Every single person at the... More

I have been coming to Rodney's for 30 years and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and excellent. There are some pretenders but there is only one Rodney's. Oysters like nowhere else. Fresh lobster and other fresh fish and seafood.

My daughter and I were treated to an unbelievable evening of seafood that started with their opening collage of oysters from various parts including BC, Maine, Conneticut, NB, and Rodney's very own from PEI. For our second round we settled for a dozen of Conneticut's best. We were not disappointed as we kept their taste simple by just adding a... More
