One of Our Favourite Places for Lunch

We have enjoyed lunch at Portico many times; both in the dining room and the bar. It is a wonderful place to savour a meal without being rushed. The decor is attractive, the atmosphere calm, the staff are refined without being stuffy, the food is very good. For the sheer pleasure of lunching, my... read more

I was staying in the Cambridge Suits and after reading the menu in my room thought I would try the Portico downstairs. The restaurant is cosy and was quite for a Friday night in my opinion. I ordered the Cajun calamari as the started and the pad thai (with added shrimp) as the main. The portion of calamari was huge... More

We stayed at the Cambridge Suites Hotel and ended up picking up some takeout from the lobby restaurant Portico. We order the gnocchi, 8oz striploin, 1/2 chicken and nachos and I have to say everything was delicious. All the food was packaged well and was still hot back in our room. The server even gave us real linen napkins and cutlery... More

Went for a business lunch - portion sizes are hearty. All food was brought to the table nicely displayed. They catered to my GF diet - even had GF bread which is always a nice treat (it was tasty!). It's not a huge restaurant - so you may want to make reservations - server was very attentive. There is a... More

This restaurant and bar is part of the Cambridge Suites Hotel. Husband and I stayed there there for four nights in November. Visited the restaurant three times, once for drinks, once for snack and once for dinner. The place is small and intimate. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Food was very good, had a salad and a burger... More

With 6000 restaurants in Toronto do not waste your money on this one. I have no idea how it achieved such a high rating on Trip Advisor. The food was beyond mediocre. Over battered and over cooked Calamari . The "Famous" Pad Thai was an incredible soppy flavorless mess. The place was worn out and tacky. No ambiance whatsoever. Big... More

If you're looking for fine dining, this is not the place. Food is extremely bland. Ordered the duck with risotto and the risotto tasted very watered down. Sadly we were celebrating my husband's birthday. He's already asked me for a re-do dinner because this place was so bad. Nice staff, but terrible food.
