Casual, go for the beverages and patio's not the food!

While in Toronto on business we asked our hotel bartender when we could go for dinner that was casual and open-air; she immediately suggested Remys. It was less than two blocks so easy walking distance and it was a beautiful afternoon. We arrived and found the stairway to the upper floor, where... read more

We left after experiencing really poor service at this place. There are so many other great places around that will want your business.

Impeccable service and meticulous attention to detail made for an unbelievable evening last night at Montage. This unique rooftop setting at the former Remy's is a welcome addition to the heart of Yorkville.

Wondered across this place while walking Yorkville over the weekend. They had Butter Chicken on the menu, my wife loves it so we went in. It was about 1:30pm, the place was empty with only a few tables of people from what we could see. The waitress came up right away, giving us menus, we ordered a bottle of still... More

We are a group of friends who have met and dined well at Remy's once a month for perhaps now 20 years, which in itself should speak for its quality and standing. The staff is very friendly and the food is good. Some of the enjoyable items on the menu are the coconut shrimps, the salad with warm goat cheese,... More

This spot came highly recommended by the hotel and did not disappoint on the many visits we made there. It has one of the most eclectic crowds out drinking and eating in Downtown Toronto. With a variety of finger foods and drinks on offer (incl a variety of beers on tap), I would strongly recommend Remys to anyone expecting a... More

The patio is hidden in Yorkville, which is odd considering that it is the largest patio in the city... the place is huge, and very busy. Service was excellent, my waiter was extra attentive to my many request and service was friendly and quick. The burger was great, huge juicy patty on a delicious bun with delicious crispy sweet potato... More

Remys is a great place to eat, drink and mingle with Toronto's finest. The crowd is upbeat and friendly. The rooftop patio opens early for those who want to have a nice meal in the sun and closes late, for those who want to stay out all night. The service was a bit slow due high volume of people. The... Living downtown I've been to Remys several times. The excellent food & drinks keeps me coming back. The service is also good, although it can get quite busy on weekends. Keep in mind there are two separate menus: dining room downstairs & upstairs patio menu. In the summer I HIGHLY recommend the upstairs patio. It features your usual bar food:... More

Celebrated a friends birthday here on the patio. There was a lot of outdoor seating which was great, and lots of well dressed people. The atmosphere was lively, but the service was a bit slow. Some of the outdoor heaters didn't seem to work (ours), which was sad because I would have stayed longer if it wasn't so cold once... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
