Tasty lunch

Two of us had lunch here and the pasta was really good. I had the cheese/spinach ravioli with a pesto cream sauce. It was on the specials board. Very nice flavour, really good pasta. My friend had the squash ravioli, had the sauce changed to tomato and again it was very tasty. Good size... read more

Recommended by a new neighbour.. Monday night , busy but comfortable.. Food and service was great.. Mussels Pernod were fabulous.. Gluten free pasta offered, will try next time. Husband found pasta very fresh, spaghetti and meatballs very enjoyable. Gluten free chocolate dessert was decadent and best shared. We'll be back..

Really enjoyed the roast chicken garlic sauce with dried tomato linguini! The 1/2 portion was quite generous. The veal sandwich was good however, the baguette used is too crunchy/thick to allow one to eat the sandwich comfortably so my friend ate it "open-faced". Good service, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices - a nice spot for lunch!

Cute little restaurant, went there for lunch, was busy. Service was good. The menu is definitely about pasta, not a lot of other options, there were specials but again, it is about pasta. Overall just a pleasant lunch.

I discovered this charming little restaurant a couple of years ago and go there whenever I'm in the area- which is unfortunately not often enough. As the name of the restaurant suggests, they specialize in pasta, and have a wide variety of it. I've never had a bad meal here. Also, during the summer, the patio is open which makes... More

We took my wife's aunt here for dinner on the weekend and what a pleasant surprise. The place is quaint, cozy and tastefully decorated. The staff very attentive, friendly and not overly pushy or pestering. For the price, the food had ample portions and was amazing. I've had pasta in lots of different restaurants and these guys do it right... More

My friends and I drove into the city to shop and have lunch at Queen's Pasta Cafe! We were welcomed by Cathy who was very friendly and gave us great service. My friends and I ordered different pasta dishes made with home made fresh pasta and it was very tasty, finished with delicious desert, coffee and tea. We would certainly... More

i was going to rate it 2 star, but pulled back. It was not exactly poor, but it certainly wan't far short. The spicy sausage penne was not spicy but dull. The pasta main of the day which my wife had was heavy and uninteresting. I thought perhaps the plastic cups for water were for the patio tables, but I... More

The menu items sounded good but were disappointing when tasted. They were passable but in an area where chefs compete for customers this seems to be just coasting. Plus the prices are too high for what we got. The "Angel hair pasta with smoked salmon in fresh vodka dill cream" did not use what I would consider to be real... More

Offers GF pasta, but no GF bread (if you want bruschetta - which looked delicious). Will modify pasta dishes to accommodate allergy. Restaurant very busy & server seemed busy & not pleased to take extra time needed to answer my questions. In the end I had a delicious seafood pasta. No GF options for dessert. Gave complementary non-alcoholic drink to... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
