food is always too hot to eat when staff brings it

ok food but always too hot - temperature wise - when broght to table - then u have to wait for it to cool - chef needs to learn that food should be eaten when it is brought to table - not watched....

Being in business for twenty years is the ultimate compliment in itself for a restaurant. To have a constant and loyal clientele shows the mark of a well-run house and a professional kitchen. Lunch with friends was certainly a nice reward. I had a fulfilling Black & White Linguini with four nicely seared tiger shrimp. The pastas are homemade and... More

My daughter and I had lunch here last week, before shopping in Bloor West Village and walking in High Park. I had the breaded veal sandwich with tomato sauce and my daughter had the breaded eggplant sandwich. When we came in, just about every table was taken by extremely happy, older women (there were only two men in the whole... More

I have dined at this place many times with my husband and friends. We like the ambiance and the food is always good. Menu isn't large but dishes are well executed. Place can get a bit loud and over crowded not for a romantic date for sure, tables are too close together. Good for dinner with friends, casual enough for... More

This weekday lunch in a very small Italian cafe was a real treat. Although the place was extremely busy, there was never a sense of feeling rushed. The pasta specials were all "fresh " offerings. I had a wonderful salad featuring hearts of palm with prosciutto and arugula-- would love to return to sample more. A reservation is definitely recommended!!!

Recommended by a friend, We visited this place Friday at 7 p.m.. It was busy but they were able to manage the tables very well. It is a cozy place. Delicious food and great service. I ordered lobster pasta and my wife pork ravioli, I would recommend 100% both dishes. The tiramisu was good (but I would try another dessert... More

Overall a very pleasant evening. There were 6 of us, we ordered 3 x Chicken Parmesan, Cannelloni, Spaghetti & Meatballs and Grilled Salmon. Also a couple of beers and a bottle of wine. Put server Cathy was attentive and friendly. Food was good, tasty and a good size... We didn't leave wanting more 😃. For each couple the bill was... More

I've been to Queens Pasta at least a half a dozen times. Nice ambiance, although a little cramped. The food is pretty good--amazing burrata appetizer, the pastas are OK, and always several good specials to choose from. Service is usually very attentive. Unfortunately last night had a less than pleasant experience. Came in 20 minutes before the kitchen was to... More

So-so food. Seems to have a loyal following, but not sure it's deserved. Needs a taste boost and better service

I have been here may times. The food is excellent and the service usually very good. However on August 27th I was not impressed with the service. I arranged to meet two friends on the patio for a glass of wine before moving inside for dinner. One friend arrived first and informed the waiter of our plans. However he proceeded... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
