A lucky find

We found this place by chance and although it is not really a family restaurant (in the evening at least) they catered for 6 adults and 6 kids brilliantly...the kids just shared adult dishes. The chef is Thai I believe and all the dishes from this region were amazing. The calamari starter was one... read more

The Lao/Thai dishes at this restaurant are exceptional! It's a great place to go because there is a wide assortment of other items besides Lao/Thai as well to accommodate many different tastes. I had the Khao Soy Gai, which was unbelievable and very filling. Also sampled the calamari and the wasabi guacamole as appetizers. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced.... More

I love this. From the outside it looks a bit dark and forbidding, but inside is a great pub with really very good, mostly south-east Asian influenced, food. Staff were casual and friendly, but also very quick to respond to requests. The ambience is unique - give it a go!

This is an amazing restaurant on Queen Street -- easy to get to from most of the downtown hotels or a quick ride to the Osgoode stop on the TTC. The Pad Thai is terrific, as is the Bah Me Hang. A decent size spot, although things can get crowded.

It's a little bit of a maze to get to the patio but once you're there it's very nice and lots of shade. The service was great. I had the roti, it was absolutely delicious and came with greens and a nice vinaigrette.

This patio is literally their backyard. It is quiet and feels like you're at someone's house. They have some interesting drink choices and great food choices. The Pad Thai is delicious but my favourite is still Ping Gai. Service is very good. Don't be scared off if the restaurant isn't packed in the summer as everyone is in the back... More

We recently went to the Cafe to celebrate my daughter's Birthday with family and friends. They have excellent choices for the vegetarians, oriental food lovers and North American tastes, and the prices are very affordable. Our party had vegetarians, people who liked oriental food and also people who like the more conservative North American food. I had the Cornish Hen... More

I haven't eaten at the Queen Mum in close to 20 years, so I was glad to see my old favorites still on the menu (nam jeun & ping gai), which I had today out on their cute garden patio. It's not obvious they have one of those, so be sure to ask if the weather is nice.

We ate here on the recommendation of the hotel concierge. The food was quite tasty and affordable. Service was attentive and fast. I would recommend as a good spot for lunch. One of our friends had a peanut allergy and even though lots of stuff on menu involved peanuts, the chef made sure of a peanut free dish.

I went with 2 friends and we all had separate dishes. Highly recommend the wasabi guacamole and the chicken pin gai. Veggie burger was delicious too. Service was efficient and friendly. Highly recommended
