One spicy dish

Had a lovely lunch in this intriguing restaurant. Looks like it'll serve sandwiches but I enjoyed some very spicy and delicious Thai food. Great service. I'll be back!

Went to the Queen Mother for a friends birthday dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had the spinach cannelloni and though delicious it was a huge serving. I had plenty left over for lunch the next day. The dessert cannot be missed either the cakes are fantastic. The staff was friendly and attentive, overall a great experience.

You wouldn't expect great south east Asian food from a place that looks so traditional on the outside, but their Laotian chef really impressed with his fusion takes on traditional south east Asian dishes. I'd really recommend the spring rolls. They also have a great selection of drinks and the entire restaurant is adorable and feels home-y.

We were literally wondering around New Year's day looking for somewhere to eat and I am so glad we found Queen Mother. The food and atmosphere were great and the staff were lovely. And there is something for everyone on the menu, guaranteed! Anything from spring rolls, to pad thai, to pasta, they have lots of options. And there dessert... More

This is a great place for lunch on Queen St. The SE Asian-oriented menu is tempting, the food is tasty and the service is exemplary. The atmosphere is quite nice, especially during warm weather when their lovely patio is in use. The prices are not bad considering the quality of the experience. My colleague and I needed to engage in... More

A longtime, popular fixture on Queen Street West, for good reason. I'm always stymied when trying to describe the menu at the QMC. It varies so widely -- where else can you get North American classics like meatloaf sandwiches and Asian dishes and Caribbean dishes all on the same table? Somehow, though, the Queen Mother manages not only to offer... More

Started at the bar waiting for seats during a busy dinner on a Thursday. I didn't like that I had to settle up before moving to my table -- please carry the tab so that I only have to pay once. The seating was cramped but the meal was delicious. Really happy to have found this gem on queen street.

I've been disappointed with this place twice now. Last night I ordered Pad Thai which had very little taste with little amounts of protein in it. It was awful. The burger was also ordered and was the most basic uninteresting burger ever. Not worth the money at all. The thing about this place is the prices are not the cheapest.... More
